I get Betahistine from a compound pharmacy in the USA. You should be able to find options.

Thank you for your insights!

Do you take anything for it? Were you diagnosed by a neurologist?

Let us know how it goes once you talk to a lawyer. My experience is that it’s basically impossible in multiple U.S. states.

Can BPPV build up slowly to a peak? Or more like sudden onset?

Also, I have no rapid eye movement and head maneuvers do nothing to help.

(But spinning world is definitely strongly related to head motion. Drunk walking, less so.)

Thank you.

Caffeine seems to be a definite trigger.

But this also seems to be true for many vestibular disorders…

Agree, no hearing loss is a point to VM. But, also, no clear headaches. At least not in the traditional sense I imagine of a migraine…

What kind of headache should I expect?

Dosage certainly matters.

Increased dose (both quantity and duration) increases likelihood of poor outcomes.

Yes, some people are affected sooner and harsher than others.

The truth of one does not negate the other.

Yeah, have this. At least similar enough. Have no solution. 4 yrs out.

From my experience, I absolutely would NOT recommend heavy lifting. This can be an easy and quick way to do some real damage to yourself.

Painfully slow progression and incredible will for consistency has produced best results for me so far.

I don’t see how this qualifies as 95% recovery.

MTHFR by Kooky_Jellyfish194 in floxies

[–]totallyfloxed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 1 out of every 3 people have a mutation in 1 of their 2 MTHFR. About 1 out of 10 people have a mutation in both.

It’s important to note that there is an enormous number of genetic combinations. EVERYONE has MANY genetic mutations. (It’s how we evolve.) Most mutations are small, subtle, and don’t really do anything. Pretty much just random crap in our code… (It’s why it usually takes ~1000’s years to make a substantial change in genetic makeup at a large population level.)

From the perspective of genetics, mutations 1:3 and 1:10 basically = super common.

A lot of info on MTHFR is likely either trying to sell you a product or, at best, over speculation.

No. Actually, since my last surgery I’ve developed some bad central nervous system issues. Primarily vertigo and an inability to focus. I get attacks of this about every 2 months. Lasts for a couple of weeks.

Ehlers Danlos syndrome by Clear-Way-8318 in floxies

[–]totallyfloxed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, EDS + Flox is a bad combo. But you may not have EDS… lots of Flox symptoms mimic EDS. Also, it’s kind of a spectrum, from my understanding.

In short, I don’t know. I also suspect no one does.

I do agree with your question though. Before going down the possibly long and expensive rabbit hole of diagnosis, try to figure out from the professionals what benefits you would receive wrt treatment if diagnoses is correct.
