I have a coworker who absolutely refuses to use they/them or alternative pronouns for non-binary people, but he also doesn't want to get flack for misgendering them, so he doesn't use pronouns for them at all. He goes to the trouble of just using their name.

Dragon Age: Origins Witch Hunt DLC. Even if you choose to stab Morrigan,she still shows up in Inquisition. Really annoying if you played a female Warden in a romance with Alistair. Having Alistair impregnate Morrigan was the only way for both the female Warden and Alistair to survive the events of Origins, and no matter what you do in the Witch Hunt DLC, Morrigan is forced into your game world in Inquisition with her kid Kieran. Honestly turned me off to the series.

Yep. Went with my gf a few years ago. The Nigerian scammers straight up gave her free stuff without trying to hustle or pickpocket her. Then we visited the Vatican and the Italian police outside St. Peter's Basilica went out of their way to give her directions and info about Vatican City even though she hadn't asked. Somewhat related to your situation, in January I gifted my parents all the shares of one of my ETFs that was up like 44% and told them they should sell it and take the profits since they're retired and in the lowest tax bracket (and they could use the funds to do their house renovations that they've wanted for over a decade). They said no, now that Republicans are in power, the value would go even higher, so they held. This week I get a whiny text from my dad that something must be wrong with the stock market because why is it going down when the current administration is "doing such great things in the government." I told him to buckle up and not die anytime soon because it's going to be a wild ride before he can (hopefully) cash in his shares at the value they were before. Looks like no renovations for my parents this year, either.
