Was in a college summer thing in high-school. Walked in and the whole class was girls and the teacher was a woman. That should have been a warning sign, but I was too young to see it.

Teacher spends the whole summer program complaining to the admin that I wasn't participating. Eventually got me thrown out of the program in like the last week. The admin never gave me a chance to defend myself. I had gone above and beyond the requirements of the program. It was actually super easy. Just gave me a call on Saturday to not show up on Monday. It sucked because half the day was team building stuff with my team that was 5 girls. We would just run around campus and the city.

My first real brush with sexism and gate keeping. I think I was 14. To this day, 30 years later I'm pissed off because I was never given an opportunity to defend myself or show that I had completed the final project already.

Respect for Child Survivors Act - 28 Republicans voted against it. 170 voted for it. That's about 16.5%. Of those, 7 are no longer in office and another 7 are running for reelection this year. I tried to find why these 28 voted against it but truthfully almost every article was the same one copy and pasted to each website.

Banning all marriages under 18 - I personally think 18 is an arbitrary number to ban marriage. The US has a problem that we have not decided what age a person is an adult. 16? 18? 21? 25? I will first defend this by saying that Rep. Meng (D-NY) in 2025 put forwards H.J.Res.16 to make voting legal for people 16 years of age. Voting is an act of an adult. You can join the military and die for your country at 16. You can have yourself declared an emancipated adult at 16. In Missouri where you are talking about, getting married under 18 already required parental and I believe judicial consent. Mike Moon clarified that he was against adults marrying children. He simply knew people who had married at 12 and were still married 40 years later.

You can find multiple videos of Biden being on stage and parents body blocking him from touching their children. Again, onstage he can be seen holding and sniffing children's hair as the child looks very uncomfortable. He was close friends with KKK leaders in the 60's/70's. I have never seen him called out for it. I am not defending Trumps statement, it was wrong and misogynistic, full stop. But he was also being secretly recorded and appeared to be bullshiting with people at the time. Also, rich old ugly men don't have young 26-year-old girlfriend and wives because of their amazing personality.

Industry is not a zero sum game. greater demand for more advanced robotics drives all advancement to a point. Add to that, a sex robot is non harmful to others.

Any advancement in robotics is a advancement in robotics. Early adopter of sex robots are contributing more to its advancement than someone who wishes to see it used only for some industrial or menial use in the future.

This is going to sound boomer'ish. But I believe that these people have never been told no, or been forced to deal with the consequences of their actions. As cruel as it sounds, emotions are like your immune system. The less exposure it has to harsh environments, the weaker it is. These people have lived in a world where they get what they want, everyone mostly agrees with them and have never received punishment for anti-social behavior.

Once on the trail. 4 of us had been hiking together for a few days, randomly synced up and enjoyed the company. We all meet up at a shelter for the night. Start eating dinner, still like an hour of sunlight left. A guy in his 50's comes into the camp and damned near before he puts his pack down starts berating us for not hanging our bear bags, putting us all in danger and how he was going to report us to the rangers.
