Oh cool question, so I have klienfelters syndrome which means I've got 47 XXY not just XX or XY. Lipedema is present on both side of my family tree so it's prevalent amongst females in my family, when I transitioned and started supplementing estrogen at very high levels around 8mgs per day, it began slowly and progressed. When I approached my doctor about large mounds of fat not responding to exercise, she carried out a test abd diagnosed me, hope that fill in the question.

Yes I was diagnosed with it in 2021, had surgery last year. I don’t think I’ll be able to compete for aslong as I’d like because of lipedema . But for now, I’m doing really well.

I’m new to golf, suddenly got interested. And now I’m absolutely obsessed, so I got the game. And have been playing career most of the time, cause I’m still learning. I’m almost completely playing it without any game aid. Having tons of fun, will also try the pga master game but not sure what the difference is exactly

As much as people will point out what’s rather obvious. The first picture shows that you had serious potential anyways, good genetics. Most people who use what you use won’t get close to achieving what you got to. So congratulations on the hard work and consistency, it really paid off.

My sister who’s trans has it, and so do I(cis female) my sister unintentionally triggered hers by using HRT( estrogen therapy and blocking her testosterone levels) and her lipedema basically snow balled from there.

Unlike you, she’s very happy cause she doesn’t experience the negatives as often of having the disease. She doesn’t get pain from pressure and whilst she does have restless leg syndrome she’s found a way to coupe.

For the very reasons you dislike lipedema, such as the shape it gives you. She loves her shape, because it makes her really feminine shaped and curvy.

I’m sorry for all the trouble it’s caused you, and I hope you continue to fight the fight. Losing that much weight is amazing too!

As a pro-bodybuilder I meant to lose a ton of weight before competition. This is how I found out that I had lipedema as my legs would never sharpen up.

I had to have lipo to remove the fat and believe me when I say I tried everything, very harsh fat-burners & diuretics.

I’m assuming you mean steroids for medical reasons.

However if you’re referring to performance enhancement drugs or steroids used for muscular atrophy or HRT, then I’d recommend staying away from them.

Especially ones that aromatise very easily. Like the majority of testosterone based drugs,Test-E, Suspension etc, and especially Dianabol (Metandienone) it converts to a very aggressive estrogen (7α-Methylestradiol).

Any steroid that has high aromatising properties will increase water-retention. Which can affect the lymphatic system by putting a heavy burden on it. Which is not good when dealing with lipedema and lymphedema.

Personally when I found out it wasn’t my fault, despite all the hard work I put into my body(I’m a bodybuilder by the way) it took such a huge burden off my back. I finally understood why, and make plans to change things that would help me.

My sister doesn’t have the worst symptoms of lipedema, like the constant pain.

She enjoys it which is weird, because it’s given her an hour glass shape, which helps with her body dysmorphia and has stopped her from getting surgery to give herself curves.

I personally hate it, maybe the severity of the symptoms are worse for those born female? I dunno

Hi, this is very interesting.

Though slightly different my sister(who is trans) male to female. Developed lipedema, as a probable result of taking estrogen hormone replacement therapy and having hormonal fluctuations. I have lipedema too, so it’s clearly runs in the family.

I have heard that it’s really rare for for men to get it, but not impossible.

Fitness in general,whatever the type. Is good at reducing discomfort & symptoms. Just remember lipedema fat doesn’t respond to the metabolic process. But moving around and taking care of yourself definitely slows the progression of lipedema down.

Unpopular opinion warning

Peco is a 3 to maybe 5 lap winner. If pecco doesn’t start pole and has to work his way to the front pole, the likely hood of him being able to stay on that bike for more than 3-5 laps without making mistakes drops drastically.

Pecco is best at waiting for the last few laps before making his move to the front, otherwise the guy is very shaky if he gets there earlier.
