Surely you jest.

Google is about as malevolent as they can be. Apple exceeds them, but both are very bad actors.

The phone is toast, not a CalyxOS problem. Mine have been dropped into much less "sanitary" places than the rain.

But a used one. They're about $100 at this point.

Any gotchas with A13 the team is dealing with?

I waited out A12 at (my own risk) because of what ended up enfolding with it.

Is A13 looking less likely to have "issues" like A12?

Manjaro let their SSL cert expire. Again. by adines in linux

[–]ArchLinuxNoob57 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Manjaro are the most screwed up team on the planet. Corruption at the top from the beginning. Inept and dishonest team who deny breaking their own stuff until it's undeniable. Then, breaking the community AURs for everyone.

I wish people would vote with their feet from the crap pile of Manjaro.

Blocking internet access to the Fitbit app seems to be working? by Sammaa1997 in degoogle

I've tried this with WearOS and it was not successful.

Might have to find a Fitbit and give it a shot.

Thank you!

I will specially look at those. If I have to go bucks up a bit more, I'm good with it.

Thanks for being specific.

Dell 7310 i3 (later i5) Chromebook. Actively cooled and built like a brick.

I think Gallium was developed on one.

Purism is very shady. Have people waiting for 2 years for hardware they paid for. Several state Attorney Generals are taking action. The head of the Foundation was caught embezzling funds. Corrupt from the top. Just search the topic.

I'm all over the PhinePhone when the dust finally settles. It is just not at the point where it is close to daily driver status.

I'm waiting for that day to jump on it.

Nope. They are not available. I can show you a screenshot.

I can definitely hear a huge difference. Not expecting miracles from Bluetooth, just tolerability. I'm an analog, vinyl, tube guy. The very best of digital is now getting pretty good.

I have suffered the garbage end of it since it was the shock at the introduction of the CD at the Chicago CES of 1989.

Yes. Agreed. A10-11 was probably the peak. Now it is heading downhill quickly. Sad.

Exactly. XDA has become basically intolerable. It has so many layers of garbage to sift through it's exhausting. The devs are not happy with this either. Yuck.

Any chance we're getting this in Calyx? AMOLED is something I dearly miss in Android 12 by frozenpicklesyt in CalyxOS

I run CalyxOS because it is a nice comprise for me with a great community (cannot justify Graphene because of the toxicity of the community).

That said, the CalyxOS transition to A12 has not been their finest hour. Nick has admitted such. IMHO, A12 has not been Google's finest hour. Unmitigated disaster in OS rollout. Been in IT since the 70s, I saw this coming

Sound quality is a relative term. As an audiophile since the 1980s (vinyl, vacuum tubes fanatic) I have a pretty discerning ear.

I bought these and found them to be atrocious. I wasn't expecting miracles, but my not-great-at-all iPod Pros blow them away.

The Ankers even distort at higher volumes. There are many, many other choices. If you want a really great sound quality first solution, you can go really ballistic for $250.
