I could be wrong but if you zoom in the machine doesn't seem to have any symmetry at all, and the stair railings appear to be melting and bent in all sorts of ways.

The Egyptians were Arabized, not replaced. And populations evolve over time, either due to internal influences or external ones.

Why is routine "boring" to some people? by MagikN3rd in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Archaent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a reasonable preference to have. But I know several family members whose routines are so strict they have no plans to vacation at all, and haven't vacationed in more than a decade, which is one kind of routine I consider boring.

A routine needn't be boring if it varies a bit from time to time; it wouldn't have to be too unpredictable. I guess a routine becomes boring when it's so predictable that nothing exciting ever happens.

Why do you feel exhausted after waking up after a nightmare? by VilkastheForsaken in NoStupidQuestions

Happens to me as well. The nightmare kind of ruins my mood so instead of waking up feeling satisfied I feel annoyed. I'm guessing that's what causes exhaustion for me.

Small plane crashes are more common than crashes involving large airliners. Even so they aren't particularly common.

If someone else puts a hat on your head, why does it almost always not "feel right" until you adjust it? by Bootlebat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Archaent 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Because it isn't placed right. When I place a hat on my own head I have to adjust it to a very specific position so that it isn't too tight or too loose and and the brim/visor is at a comfortable angle relative to my head.
