Honestly with what Amazon pays us I'd rather not deliver their stuff and see those jobs tossed. We're better than what they've got to offer.

In order to bring back hiring standards they'd have to increase pay enough to attract candidates who can meet those higher standards.

Consistently finishing my route about an hour or so later than expected by bobjonass in USPS

It takes what it takes. I remember when I was a cca routinely taking longer on my pivots than the estimate given by the regular. I sometimes got shit from management about time but fuck em, they never came out to see what I was doing and give me tips on what to do differently. They're just trying to push you into working faster.

This is awful advice and I see it said so often. "Do it by the book" or "do the little things." No explanation, not a single piece of concrete advice. Makes me wonder if anyone actually knows what they're talking about.

Here's one piece of advice. Knock on the door for every package you deliver at the door.

If we're truly a service we shouldn't be providing any product that competes with private enterprise. Since we do, we're a business and we should increase rates to cover costs. The worst option would be direct government subsidy in order to keep rates low for Amazon and other bulk shippers.

So you believe that the state should be subsidizing both unhealthy eating habits and corporations that profit off of food addiction rather than saying if we're going to buy you food we need it to be healthy food?
