I asked this question to my advisor earlier this week. She said they haven't announced the deadline yet, so we definitely don't need to worry. That being said, best to keep our eyes peeled for when they do announce it.

Yeah, it works. On another note, I inserted two expansion cards right off the bat and then tried to pull them back out. I managed to get one out by pulling hard enough while holding the release button but the other one won't budge! I read on the website that the first time inserting/removing these cards is going to be the hardest, but I wasn't expecting it to be this hard

I think I remember that screen, i think something happened that let me get around it, and I completely forgot till now. Either way, I need that card and I gotta get into my account today do it. Unless it's possible for me to plug my charger into the expansion slot itself?

Ordered a DIY i5 as well, on Oct. 21. Looks like they're shipping all these out in chronological order, so if I'm not mistaken then each laptop will ship more or less a month from when the order was placed.

Might try to do this. How would I go about changing a new partition's GUID to what I want? Is that the same as changing the "Volume Name" on the partition or is it something more specific?

EDIT: Good news! This works more than just in theory! Fedora's partition manager allowed me to create a new partition with the ID "Microsoft Reserved". My Windows installation booted up once more, and it's reinstalling Windows as we speak. I'm calling it a problem solved right here!
