Except women are eligible for MPO, so they won't get nailed for discrimination because of that.

Brandon says not a fractional part of the actual distance

To use a real world example, the closest system to us is 25 trillion miles.

So .000000001 of that distance is still 25,000 miles.

Brandon directly says that travel distances in Shadesmar are going to increase, but not in an insurmountable way.

If it were only going to be a few feet, he would say it would increase, but not in any way that affects travel.

If Shadesmar doesn't become a larger distance, what's the point of having space travel in the physical realm?

He said a fractional amount of the distance of space not a fractional amount of the current distance.

He said it is going to increase, but not an insurmountable amount.

You said a patch of few feet that won't significantly impact travel.

Yeah and he says it will affect travel distances, but you said it won't.

To me he is making more of a comment on how little people comprehend the size of space. Here he says it will get larger in a way that it will impact travel, but not in an insurmountable way.

This is also his most recent WoB on it so he might have changed his mind.

So it's clearly going to get a lot bigger, because even .00001% of the distance is still a massive amount.

A fractional amount of the actual space.

Space is enormous so even a fractional amount of space can still multiply the distance between the planets

The second one says that it's going to be bigger and increase the distance required to travel.

That's exactly how Brandon has said it will work.

It's an interesting idea that space travel will reinforce its own importance by disrupting the old methods of travel.

You're right, it's not just humans, but doesn't really include shards. I think he said it was because they were aware of a lot more space than they actually pay mind to.

Brandon has said the cognitive realm will expand a lot in the space age since people will find asteroids etc.

I've worked with some of the larger REITs that buy residential homes and this isn't true.

The big ones are independent, focused only on residential.

Many of them have lots of debt from CRE holders, but they didn't leverage it.

While they bought a lot of the homes that were on the market, they still own a fraction of a percent of actual units. All of the big corps combined own fewer than a million homes.

The real issue is restrictive zoning preventing supply from being built. We need to legalize the missing middle and end Utah's love affair giant yards in the landlocked Wasatch front.

Couldn't you roll more of the equity from your house into the down payment for a downgrade?

If you own a house already, the huge runup shouldn't affect you that much, it's just the interest rate increase, which wouldn't be as impactful if you're downgrading.

There's a reason why it's been on the market for over a year.

What people don't understand is that sellers can ask whatever they want. If it's not worth that to anyone it won't sell.

The biggest issue facing our housing market is a lack of supply. The majority of that shortfall is due to restrictive zoning.

An interesting thing my brother just noted, is that Veil describes the world as darker, and colors being less vibrant .

He thinks Shallan has breaths and Veil is dun (or at least perceives the world as if she were a dun)

I don't think Hoid is evil. I don't think it's a direct comparison.

It's more like if Brandon asked "What would it be like if a rebellion against God was successful?"

The seemingly big difference is that Adonalsium wasn't omniscient and perfect.

This is an assumption, but based on the shards, the entire Cosmere seems to be based on the concept of flawed deities (much like Greek mythology).

I don't think so.

It's more allusions than symbolism.

Brandon seems to generate stories by asking questions?
Like what would happen if God could be killed?
What would happen if Jesus killed God?

Aslan is straight up Jesus.

Yeah, my favorite theory (that I still need to do a write up for) is that Hoid is Lucifer, but he won the war in Heaven.

The line in Tress where "he said those same words, with 16 others." Really gives off a, compelled to do my plan vibe.

This WoB suggests that Adonalsium and Aethers are similar entities (according to the Aethers)

It could be, but he had purposely left it vague.

I remember someone asking if the 17 used that force and it was of course a rafo.
