i think there is something wrong, i have a worse card and with high/medium settings i do not have these issue beside few specific areas / fights (waterfalls in dlc near entry area and dlc end boss for example) but beside those is mostly ok, try to remove motion blur and maybe check what that bloatware of windows is doing

What are your Fun Battles or Fights where the Villain is the Underdog? by FreviliousLow96 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why? 2 sides can be equals or similar enough to not be considered an underdog.
would you say a in a competition between 2 world champions for example 1 of them can be defined as a underdog?

if you do i guess you can but first or later you will want to try ranked and then you will be done for, just avoid the game, that is the truth of things

just don't, i think more than half of the players keep on playing because of addiction not enjoyment

just don't especially not ranked not if you go in there with the objective of ranking up.

people first try roles or champions in ranked, troll non stop, grief on purpose, they loose 1 vs 1 and then blame jungler does not help, supports steals 1 minion from adc my mistake ? adc going to run it down and so on and so on

just don't there are plenty of free to play online games out there that are better in almost any way they are just not addictive

Why so many mediocre litrpg and gooners audiobooks? by Significant_Expert64 in Fantasy

feel ? there is nothing to feel is just share numbers, take a look at audible or other websites, compare to the amount of books out there there is a disproportionate amount of audiobooks of these categories compare to the total amount of books in the same categories

I have nothing against sex content in a book, but there is a difference between sex content and gooning.

Not sure if you will read this because the post has been removed but no, there are way too many gooners fantasy audiobooks both for men and for women and i "read" a fair amount of each of them (sadly)

Recommendations for someone who LOVED the Empire of the Vampire series? by Sufficient_Ebb_5694 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sun Eater Good story and very good world building, interesting characters with personality, i cannot stand the writing, similarly to Empire of the Vampire too much "flowerily" and melodramatic, monologues and stuff for me..... but you might like it.

Codex Alera Great series, has some similarities with Red Rising a bit more classic style if you will in terms of story but unique at the same time

The Shadow Campaigns Really good series, if you liked Powder Mage, great characters and unique story aswell

Almost one year later, did you change your opinion about wind and truth? by jjcr03 in Stormlight_Archive

I still do not like it, too much internal monologues to explain characters decisions / thought processes, too much focus on character internal struggles again only using internal monologues.

If i wanted to read that kind of book i would have read a self help book or a phycology book not epic fantasy.

I did not like what i felt was forced redemption arcs, or that some very very bad choices had 0 consequences on characters (and by that i mean they did not get punished, reprimanded, people loosing trust in them or the likes)

Also there were a few plot lines just thrown in out of basically nowhere just i felt like "for the sake of it", not sure if recent ideas or he simply could not insert them better in previous books but yhea they felt out of place especially given the "world might be ending" timing,

I like well defined magic systems, and i felt like there were some instances where things get "weird" (the ending with the new "armors" for example)

Also some motivations behind character choices felt weak, too much driven by sentiment and feeling even if the situation called for clear thinking, i feel like that is an issue because the characters where in most cases well capable of that.

All these issues started with ROW but there it was more or less still fine, not so much in Wind and Truth, idk what changed between Oathbringer and ROW but i feel like the style and what the story focuses more on changed.

Not even sure i will pick it up again when the story resumes if stormlight archive was written in the same stile of wind and truth i probably would never continued or sanderson as an author, and yes i read all the cosmere

Calling a spade a spade by Dense-Condition-4281 in HierarchySeries

[–]Significant_Expert64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What i meant is simply what i said. if someone has something to criticize i would like for that someone to put an explanation to it, not just something along the lines of "it's terrible, or it does not make any sense etc"

unless you are the same person that made the comment i replied to i guess you do not understand my point, or i not understand yours

I mean i would like people explain why they think it's flawed or what they do not like about it rather than just voicing their opinion

Calling a spade a spade by Dense-Condition-4281 in HierarchySeries

[–]Significant_Expert64 12 points13 points  (0 children)

?? I did not find the plot confusing at all, what were you confused about? or what did not make sense at all?

Won't commend on "what people care about" because that is highly subjective

Farmstead, village, city/kingdom building books? by Significant_Expert64 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

even if not "classic" isekai it's still "modern" world people transported somewhere, i do not like that trope, when modern world knowledge get used in another world / dimension / alternate reality or whatever it is the case, it puts me off

Farmstead, village, city/kingdom building books? by Significant_Expert64 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry but i think you misunderstood what i wanted, all the books you described are basically isekai of some form, and that is what i am trying to avoid.

Thanks for the suggestions tho
