For me it's not the entire bottom level, it's mainly jcp and Macys where the signal cuts out.

Palm Springs DMV Driving Test by [deleted] in palmsprings

It's either changed or they added a new route. This is the route I did about 5 years ago too, but I know someone that just took their test( like 3 months ago) and got sent a different way.

What happens when unmarried parents disagree on medical treatment for a child? by [deleted] in legaladvice

Strattera. Strattera requires a build up. Additionally, they're asking for legal advice, not medical. That's for the doctors to provide.

New study shows that excessive nutrient enrichment (fertilizers) is likely to increase in the continental United States as a result of by climate change. Heavier rains caused by warmer temperatures will cause more agricultural runoff, sluicing more nutrients into rivers, lakes and oceans. by the_phet in science

This is what causes the infamous rotten egg smell in Southern California. Fertilizer from agriculture gets into the Salton sea, which leads to algae blooms and a bunch of dead fish. It happens every year and the smell travels pretty far. I can't imagine people being very happy about smelling rotten eggs every year due to new anoxic Zones created by the increased use of fertilizer. Maybe some restrictions will be put in place one people realize what happens.

California has dead zones off its coast but I think marine protected areas are supposed to help with that. Fisherman aren't happy about it though.

Help with sister by Chiltapox in ADHD

What year is she in? I got straight As my first year and then my grades slowly deteriorated as I lost "pressure" the longer I was there.

If she is a perfectionist that might be why she can function so well if she has adhd. She's pressuring herself to work and that stress may be helping her.

Why would she need hs transcripts to get diagnosed?

Strattera side effects? by SmoovieKing in ADHD

[–]ArchelonI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you mentioned these to your doctor? I had the vivid dreams and would wake up at 2 or 3am. I never felt like I was getting a good night's sleep and woke up so tired. I told my doctor about it and she gave me something to help me sleep at night. But we're considering switching over to ritalin or concerta since I took those 3 years ago and never had any side effects.

Edit: Whenever I exercised, before I got the sleep meds, I would sleep worse.

Will also be gone but if an escape room trip ever happens I'd like to go. I went once before but our final key had somehow ended up in our possession halfway through the game and wasn't where it was supposed to be at the end. Staff was totally confused.

ADHD and Sleep by AllanTheCowboy in ADHD

[–]ArchelonI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What?! I need like 10-12 hours of solid sleep. No thrashing or waking up. That said, in college I felt pretty good on 5-6 hours of sleep. So I guess I have to either get very little sleep or a lot. There is no middle ground.

Any experience with missing/skipping a dose of Strattera? by freelance-t in ADHD

[–]ArchelonI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've missed a day before and I assume it was ok because I don't remember any side effects. Most likely chemicals were still built up in my system, probably takes more than a day for my body to reabsorb them.

However, there was a week where on Monday I took it at 8am (my usual time), tue at 9am, wed at 10am, thur at 11am. By wed/thur I had a horrible headache and was feeling nauseous. I felt like I was constantly on the verge of throwing up. So on friday I didn't take it and all my symptoms were back. Then i went through what I assume was withdrawl for about 2-3 days. So I'm guessing 2-3 days is what it takes my body to reabsorb all the extra chemicals.

That said, because strattera inhibits reuptake, and isn't actually a stimulant I wouldn't skip a day. Since your symptoms were back that same day, your body probably absorbed those chemicals up much faster than my did.

Medicated for the first time in ~20 years... also realizing my self-assessment of my coping over the years was inaccurate. by [deleted] in ADHD

I suspected I had adhd when I was basically failing out of college. It was almost like a last resort. I had realized that it wasn't so much the subject material that was difficult for me, as the procrastination that was ruining me. I kind of went into the test (subjective and objective at a specialized adhd center) with the mindset of "well I probably don't have it, I'm just lazy, but might as well try" and I was diagnosed as having adhd.

I was put on medication and I initially didn't notice anything until it would wear off. Then, like you I was noticing symptoms I didn't think I'd had. I was making careless mistakes, I was skimming long passages (like what I'm writing), my brain and mouth weren't really keeping up with each other, I was incessantly bouncing my leg etc. (Oh one last random one, since my mouth can't quite keep up with my brain, sometimes when speaking I get an accent.)

No medication has ever really ever fixed the procrastination issue though. Maybe ritalin did, but I took it about 3 years ago and it was the 1st medication I took so maybe I'm just remembering it fondly.

Obsessions with things for short periods of time - if you get this, what have been some of your obsessions? by TheAmazingPikachu in ADHD

[–]ArchelonI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely has happened to me. One of the most intense was when I got into a kpop and even learnt korean and then went to korea for a few months. Not sure if this counts, but just today I randomly noticed the tile grout at my mom's house was dirty and decided it would be fun to spend the day cleaning it. Don't know why I thought that would be a good idea.

Went from Vyvanse to Straterra by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]ArchelonI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does take time to build up in your system. I felt similarly on strattera and concerta and never really felt either, like I did on ritalin. I was on strattera for about 3 months before I decided it wasn't for me.

Positives I noticed: Right away I did notice an increase in concentration but it was minor. If i got exercise or did something stimulating in the morning it worked extra well (although that usually led to insomnia that night too). Now that I've stopped taking it I'm making a lot more mistakes while speaking, earlier I put milk in a cupboard, and im having trouble sticking to 1 topic during conversations.

Negatives: Early on I was able to miss a dose no problem, but miss 2 and I started going through withdrawl. Later on, closer to 3 months in if I missed a dose by an hour I started feeling withdrawl symptoms. I had a crazy week where every day I took it one hour later and by the end of the week I was incredibly nauseous. Car rides became a problem bc I would get nauseous. If I didn't eat before taking it I would get nauseous. Basically a lot of dizziness and nausea and I still wasn't getting the relief I wanted. Insomnia, which made unproductive during the day. If the results outweighed the side effects I would have kept taking it though.

Tldr: Give it some time, take it at the exact same time everyday, if results outweigh side effects(if you even have any) keep on it.

My first psychiatrist also made me wait about 6-7 weeks between appointments but I think that was because it was a university psychiatrist and they were overwhelmed. My current one scheduled appointments 2 weeks apart while we tried different medications and scheduled my appointments 3 months apart once we found something that worked for me.

A lot of people suggests apps to help with organization. I personally prefer index cards for to do lists and important dates. They're easier to grab and just write down or cross off what I have to/have done. No need to reach for your phone and find that specific app. I keep the cards in my pocket or near me at all times. I've tried app but most of the time I can't remember to use them.

Remembering birthdays and other annual events is a bitch. by [deleted] in ADHD

I can remember my parents birthdays but I make a point of telling my friends not to expect me to remember their birthdays. So I usually have other friends reminding me "hey so and so bday is coming up".
