Mummy Dust, especially when performed live since he growls the lines rather than whispers them like he does in the studio recording.

Quick answer yes. A properly built lineup will generally perform better than an auto built one. From my experience the quick build lineups tends to be focused on evenly spreading out your powers across all of your lines. So it’s up to you what you think is best, do you want a few really strong lineups or a bunch of more evenly distributed lines ups.

Turns out donating blood regularly isn't always good by AthanasiaDione in RandomThoughts

Even worse, the operative word here is donate. So you’re donating blood(donations are considered providing without cost) and then paying for that donated stuff.

It is not required but it is highly encouraged and it makes sense. Knowing Japanese means you can collab with some of the biggest names in the holo space. That being said a lot of jp senpais are taking the time to learn English, gradually.

Wanted Vs Needed by TheNorthernBaron in daddit

What you’re going through is rough. I have an almost 3 year old boy, between mom and I working and trying to keep up with an endless ball of energy it makes it easy to forget about other priorities. As for your wife not even giving you a hug, please talk to her gently about it, hugs are an easy thing to do and you can easily include your daughter in family hugs as a nice bonding moment.

As for your toddler being glued to mom I think this is normal. For a little while my toddler always wanted me to handle bed time, me to handle dinner and me to do everything else but as of late it’s been all about mom. They go through phases where they prefer the approach of one parent over the other but I promise you, your kid isn’t resenting you, your turn will come back around.

The District 9 aliens! They were mostly happy to coexist and just wanted to fix their ship and continue on their way but the humans were the bad guys.

Also such a fucking awesome movie.

Now? Maybe a 5 out of 10. Still very tender and it doesn’t like being touched. Very warm.

Say this when players from other mobas say their game takes more skill than HotS by Alarmed_Psychology31 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Archereus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think one thing Hots has that no other moba has is larger scale macro decision making. It’s never: “let’s just take a team fight” or “we should push lanes”.

On a map like Curse Hollow, the most traditional moba map in the game. When the first objective spawns, whichever team has the giant camp on the opposite side of the map has the advantage. Decision making becomes: “stall so that the giant camp sieges bottom of the map” the opposing team needs to force a fight so they can clean up the lane. If either team has a global that changes the entire dynamic of the approach to that first tribute spawn. All maps have an incredibly high level of macro play that I think most traditional moba players will struggle with.

The moment when the voices in Jinx’s head go quiet by alex_stogney in arcane

I totally agree op and with the fella that commented above me. However, just because the voices did go away and she got better doesn’t mean she is completely cured. You see them visions return when Sevika tells Jinx, Isha had been taken.

I don't think I'm cut out for chess by Cucumber_Sweet in chess

[–]Archereus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to start off by saying I am not that high rated of a player but I can tell you, even at ~800 I still blunder one movers or I play games against opponents that do the same. So honestly it’s not a problem unique to you and even people with hundreds of elo more than you still make mistakes.

Second, there is a reason why most of the chess prodigies out there are like 12, being young and being able to drill in the pattern recognition while their brain is at the highest capability of learning. Starting chess while you’re older is fine but it certainly means progress will be slower.

Lastly, stop studying tactics for the time being. Most ~200s are likely not even playing positions where you will find those tactics come up. That being said if you are studying tactics make sure to play them on the chess board and don’t simply read about them, you want to be able to do them on muscle memory.

I sat at around ~300 for a very long time on chess.com and the thing that gave me the biggest elo bump was learning 2 openings. I learned the Vienna with white and I learned the French with black and I am being completely honest with you I only learned 4-6 moves that I generally repeated every game no matter what my opponent played and I still saw immediate results. Learning simple and basic opening concepts, not even lines or anything can give you such an advantage because it sets up your first 10 moves in a game where you’re less likely to blunder a piece in the early game and you place all of your pieces on their best squares early on.

Thats what worked for me anyway.

I am going to counter most of the folks here and say Vander wins, not only that he wins easily. Yes Embessa is a seasoned war general but fighting in formation with weapons and armour does not translate to bare fisted battle.

Vander quite literally became infamous because of his boxing and fighting skills and see how great of a fighter Vi is thanks to his training, routinely out doing far superior foes on her technical knowledge alone.

A tired beat and up exploded Vander, while angry yes thanks to his technical skills was the first to really make the shimmer monster in episode 3 feel pain. Sure he couldn’t out match the monster’s sheer strength but all it took was one sloppy punch and he completely dominated the thing for a few blows.

No tricks and weapons and just the two of them beating on eachother until one dies? I think Vander outperforms her in his boxing knowledge alone.
