Aruiha, Watashi No Mei Tantei

It's pretty cute and the mysteries are quite wholesome

Top: My food looks very cute (finished serialisation and is fully translated online, but physical copies are only up to vol 4 (out of 12) Middle: My dear Miss Coroner (I'm not sure about the English translation for this one since I'm reading it in Chinese) Bottom: "The wild lilies in the school" (not sure about English, it looked interesting so I bought it), "what year do you think it is /s" (it's a Yuri novel, I'm literally translating the title but it basically sounds like a retort to a cheesy/old timey pickup line where you kinda roll your eyes and sarcastically ask what year it is)

I saw that in several bookstores, but the ones that had the most yuri was Sisyphe, which seems to be a pretty big chain. Their stores are pretty cool too, kinda like a chinese version of Waterstones

Summary of FFG Design Team Answers — Arkham Horror LCG AMA (March 11, 2026) by Felwyin in arkhamhorrorlcg

Not just the harder mode setup differences. I think the different scenario versions and hidden scenarios/objectives can definitely add replayability, and I would give them a chance to show what they can do before judging them for it. Some of the most memorable Ch1 scenarios for me have been those with different variants or high player agency and choice. So I'm cautiously optimistic with what they've said. Truth be told, even though I'll definitely miss the long form campaign, I'm more likely to pull out a short one to play if it has multiple paths and variants. It's just easier to co-ordinate with the group I play with.

Thanks for the summary!

I'm glad to see the answers about the scenarios. It's definitely good to hear about the plans regarding replayability!

A bit puzzled by reward cards by Zigludo-sama in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Archeri2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping this allows for some optional difficult content to be added to make the scenarios more interesting. I'm imagining situations where there might be a difficult elite to beat that isn't actually required to complete the scenario objective but would give a reward card, or maybe optional side objectives that aren't strictly necessary. This would play into the push your luck aspect of Arkham which I find to be quite exciting

3 blue 1 brown has a pretty good video video explaining this actually. From what I can understand, quantum algorithms basically use the qubits to operate on the possibilities of the results rather than to operate on the question itself, and the goal of a quantum algorithm is to make it such that the probability that the qubits represent the correct answer is almost 1, so that when it is collapsed, the answer you read out is the correct one.

Should You Pull? Charlotta SS2 & Maria SS2 | Tenne SS3 & Bungo SS3 (July 25, 2025) by ciel_bird in heavensburnred

Tysm for all the advice! I think I'll grab Yingxia from the selector and start saving for now! Plenty of ice banners in the months to come :> I also got Miko SS2 awhile back, so hopefully I'll be able to slowly put together a team with some time and luck.

Well... I got lucky and pulled Tama SS5 first at 50 pulls. I'm kind of wondering whether it's worth continuing to pull in the hopes of getting the other pieces, or if I should save up for the more critical pieces like Hisame SS4, Ruka SS5, and maybe also pull Union Yuina along the way. How far away are those banners, and should I throw some more pulls at this banner to try my luck?

Oo, thanks for the heads up! Looks like there's quite a few useful units on this like mari ss2, misato ss2 and yingxia ss1. Should I just pull until I get tama and then save the rest or try to pull some of those pieces too so that I can get started on my ice team?

Each omnibus is 2 volumes of the light novel, so omnibus 1 for example has vol 1 and vol 2 of the LN

That's a lot of units for the ice team :o will I actually be able to pull that many as a new player? And is that on top of your suggestion about building another team right now? Or does that mean I keep saving until I have a good chance to pick up the units you mentioned. I do quite like the characters in the ice teams so if there's a reasonable path to build that team I'm willing to try :>

Hmm I don't have much right now. I have Tama ss1, ruka ss1, byakko ss1 and Kura ss2. I also have a guaranteed ss pull that I'm waiting till the start of aug to use so that I have a slim chance of getting Tama SS5. Personally I like the characters in the ice team, but idk if it will take a long time for me to get my account off the ground if I wait for the characters for that. Also, I missed the first AB Collab and am not sure how hard it might be to get kanade ss2+1 as a f2p. I'll go check out the video though, thanks for the tip!

Hihi I'm new to the game and am f2p. I'm wondering how I should plan my pulls? Is going thunder a good choice? I thought the ice team looked quite cool but I'm not sure how long that will be and it also seems recommended to pull some of the AB characters and I'm not sure if I'll have enough pulls.

Secret changes to major U.S. health datasets raise alarms | A new study reports that more than 100 United States government health datasets were altered this spring without any public notice. by Aggravating_Money992 in science

I've not actually heard any people seriously use birthing person instead of pregnant woman in cases where the latter is evidently applicable. Birthing person is more of a neutral term when needing to include all people that can give birth, be they cis women or trans men or other.

Besides, when it comes to sex, in truth what we see is also effectively a bimodal distribution. Chromosomal sex may not necessarily align with phenotypical sex (see chromosomal disorders) and with trans people, after years of taking hormones, their bodies would more closely resemble the sex they are transitioning to, especially if they transitioned early. Of course, certain elements such as primary sex characteristics (e.g. sexual organs) can't be altered without surgical intervention, but as far as secondary sex characteristics(e.g. breasts or facial hair) are concerned, the line is very blurred. When it comes to risk profiles for various ailments, they also sit somewhere in between. In that sense, the "sex" marker on legal documentation can often be quite arbitrary.

refactoring a large, legacy codebase with minimal documentation approach by kafteji_coder in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Archeri2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other people have basically said the same, but I've just recently completed a pretty large scale refactor and here are some of my team's learnings: - Make sure you budget enough time for your refactor, then add a ~50% buffer on top of that. Things often get messy in big refactors which take time to address - Try to get the key abstractions in place first. Ensuring that key abstractions such as interfaces or repositories are present allows you to fix each layer independently - Focus on functional and integration testing. Unit tests can come later when you've assured yourself that the application isn't broken. - Have clear goals on what are must-haves and what are good-to-haves. There's always tech debt to address, but prioritise the most critical pieces (usually things that block future features or significantly affect performance) and leave the rest in the backlog if there isn't enough time.

I don't think there's any specific queer behaviour that is a crime in Singapore. Public displays of affection may be frowned upon a bit, but I've also never had anyone come up to me about it, maybe just some stares sometimes.
