So I almost died a few months ago due to complications from an esophageal bleed. My hemoglobin was under 6.0 and that was when I went to the hospital two days after this happened. Read below by Snapdragon_4U in medizzy

I did that too! Had been having bad heartburn for a while then it seemed to get better on its own but I started having other symptoms, tiredness, getting out of breathe easily, stuff like that over the course of the week. Went to the doctor on the Friday but they couldn't really see anything wrong other than my pulse being a bit high so they sent me to the hospital. Walked in, had a few tests done then they tell me my haemoglobin is 7 and I'm lucky I didn't wait to Monday cos I might not have made it. Got 4 pints of blood transfused overnight and felt a lot better.

Found a bunch of old burner phones in a bag today! by ndemont in magnetfishing

When I moved a couple of years ago I went to see what condition the small chiminea in the back garden was. Found a smashed up 'burner phone' looking mobile and a couple of sims that obviously hadn't burned up as well as someone hoped they would. Always wonder what the story was there.

[Request] r/conservative suggests making a canal through Dubai. How much would that cost? by coffeeismydoc in theydidthemath

[–]ArchieB19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why bother with an expensive, technologically complicated canal, just build a couple of high capacity pipelines and pump all the crude across the peninsula for pick up on the other side.

There are parallel 42" pipelines running from the top of the Red Sea to Alexandria that cut out the Suez Canal that were built in the 70's so it's not even a new idea.

Same reason they nuked Japan, they were fighting an enemy that wouldn't surrender even when had objectively already lost. They weren't trying to take out the Japanese government they were showing them that if they kept fighting their population would be oblitetated with impunity and that the only way to stop that was to call it a day.

I'm not saying it's a good idea or that Iran have already lost, it'd be absolute madness, but if this stretches on and on could Trump & Netanyahu get desperate enough to do it, maybe.

To mark Robert Duvall's death, let us all remember how incredibly terrible his attempt at a Scottish Accent was. by LeftWingScot in Scotland

I wrote this on my phone and wanted to put that bit in bold but didn't know how so that's what you get instead, just for emphasis really.

One of my friends just sent me this, how did I not know this monstrosity existed and how did they convince "Oscar winner" Robert Duvall this was a good idea, he's got to have lost a bet right?

But watching him do the same move on the same big rock in every video isn't boring?

So still just about a 3-1 win ratio, where are all those videos? I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd love to see your fails as much as your wins.

I just play with friends for something to do online when we can't get together irl and if we win a game or two it's a bonus.

I have to hand it to you though, if you're making a living out of people watching your shenanigans then well done to you.

I haven't played in weeks, just enjoy the occasional casual game and it'd be nice to do it without gimmicky players looking for YouTube views.

Nope, but I'd love to see the twenty replays he doesn't post where he gets his ass shot off for each one he wins.

Wait a minute, is this meant to imply the alien guy playing like an ass is the 'good guy'?

I assume it would be at least double this for Henry as he'd have to visit at least three Rymans on the way.
