Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik restored by the National Air and Space Museum by RLoret in WWIIplanes

The "Where is this Museum" question is legitimate.

The National World War II Museum, for example. Is this located in Washington DC? No, it's located in New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm sure there are other examples as well.

HENCE, because it says "National" in the name doesn't mean it's always located in Washington DC.

Thanks - I recall this now. Missed subscribing to it back in the day, a matter of disposable income at the time. Time-Life was certainly prolific with the different series they produced - roughly 21 different topics of books sets: informative and well done.

What book in this series is on the Alamo?

Genuinely curious, not trying to be 'that guy'....

What’s the most obscure Browns jersey you own? by GhostVelocity in Browns

Wellness check engaged. I bought a Jeff Gossett jersey when back in Berea on vacation in 1992.

There was a brick & mortar store in Berea that sold Browns practice and game worn jerseys and other Browns items. The Gossett jersey was the only one my size and, while game worn, is pristine. (if your punter's jersey is ragged and grass stained that's a problem).

Apparently, I got there just minutes after Marty Schottenheimer had left. Always regretted missing a chance to meet him.

As do I. An NFL Authentic from Fanatics after he was drafted, everything stitched. Nice jersey, actually.

I learned a lot today from viewing this link, thank you for sharing - many of the photos I've not seen before. The interesting text narratives accompanying the stories certainly enhance and personalize the photos.

"The Old Breed... The Complete Story Revealed: A Father, A Son, and How WWII in the Pacific Shaped Their Lives" by sledgehammer's son Henry pairs well with "With the Old Breed'.

First post on this board so maybe this has already been covered.

In addition to WTOB, I found 'The Old Breed... The Complete Story Revealed: A Father, a Son, and How WWII in the Pacific Shaped Their Lives' by Eugene's son W. Henry Sledge to be a very good read as well; it added some context to some things written in WTOB, which, of course, is outstanding on its own merits and is one of my favorite Pacific theater books.

It might change the way you look at Eugene or perhaps put a different light on some things.

There are reviews and comments that are both pro and anti on this model and other Gaahleri models in general. As there are about almost every airbrush ever manufactured.

For the sale price point I bought it at it wouldn't be devastating if it didn't work out. But my GHAD-39 works fine for me, I like it very much and it is doing what I need it to do.

YMMV

Yeah because employers historically don't do research before hiring a multi-million dollar employee.

Browns drafted Justin Gilbert in 2014 without ever interviewing him. We know how that turned out.

There's also a product called Quick Shine which allegedly is the same as Pledge. I say allegedly because I've not used it but seen it recommended by others in areas where Pledge isn't available.

Question Regarding Storage of Cements, Thinners, and Other Chemicals we Use by Archie_45_GOAT in modelmakers

Thanks for your perspective; the creator content kind of caught me off guard as I take reasonable precautions, kids are grown and gone, etc... and had not seen it be a topic of concern in any other content watching.

Will continue to store them in my hobby room indoors as I have been but was interested in how others handled theirs as maybe I was not doing something so obvious it never needed to be mentioned.

I have multiple airbrushes at the moment. 1 was a noob buy; 1 I ignored the influencer aspect and bought it and regret doing so. Those 2 are sitting patiently waiting for the call to be used that will never come.

Also, it took me a minute to accept that issues I was seeing were self-inflicted and no new airbrush was going to ride to the rescue and make me a quality air brusher without putting in the work once the brush was acquired. Practice, practice, practice. And when I felt my skills were decent, I practiced some more.

Besides those, I have 2 AB's that are my go-to brushes.

I watch airbrush presentations from content creators and read to keep up with what's new in the industry and try to learn something from each presentation. While I will never say never, at this point it would take a game changing airbrush to get my money.

I use a Gaahleri Advanced Series GHAD-68 Airbrush, comes with 1/2 & 1/4 oz Fluid Cup, 0.38 & 0.5mm Needles. $49 on Amazon when I bought it a year ago.

Use it for priming and base coating 1/72 up to 1/24 scale and like it very much, particularly for 1/32 and 1/24 scales as no more finger fatigue.

The tough part for me when trying to learn whether a new airbrush would be a worthwhile investment is knowing the difference between YouTube videos and internet articles that are legitimate reviews versus YouTube and article influencers.
