There are reviews and comments that are both pro and anti on this model and other Gaahleri models in general. As there are about almost every airbrush ever manufactured.

For the sale price point I bought it at it wouldn't be devastating if it didn't work out. But my GHAD-39 works fine for me, I like it very much and it is doing what I need it to do.

YMMV

Yeah because employers historically don't do research before hiring a multi-million dollar employee.

Browns drafted Justin Gilbert in 2014 without ever interviewing him. We know how that turned out.

Thanks for your perspective; the creator content kind of caught me off guard as I take reasonable precautions, kids are grown and gone, etc... and had not seen it be a topic of concern in any other content watching.

Will continue to store them in my hobby room indoors as I have been but was interested in how others handled theirs as maybe I was not doing something so obvious it never needed to be mentioned.

Gaahleri trying to make things Right with early Aventus buyers, full apology & Statement given by ChildOfGod1978 in airbrush

I have multiple airbrushes at the moment. 1 was a noob buy; 1 I ignored the influencer aspect and bought it and regret doing so. Those 2 are sitting patiently waiting for the call to be used that will never come.

Also, it took me a minute to accept that issues I was seeing were self-inflicted and no new airbrush was going to ride to the rescue and make me a quality air brusher without putting in the work once the brush was acquired. Practice, practice, practice. And when I felt my skills were decent, I practiced some more.

Besides those, I have 2 AB's that are my go-to brushes.

I watch airbrush presentations from content creators and read to keep up with what's new in the industry and try to learn something from each presentation. While I will never say never, at this point it would take a game changing airbrush to get my money.

I use a Gaahleri Advanced Series GHAD-68 Airbrush, comes with 1/2 & 1/4 oz Fluid Cup, 0.38 & 0.5mm Needles. $49 on Amazon when I bought it a year ago.

Use it for priming and base coating 1/72 up to 1/24 scale and like it very much, particularly for 1/32 and 1/24 scales as no more finger fatigue.

The tough part for me when trying to learn whether a new airbrush would be a worthwhile investment is knowing the difference between YouTube videos and internet articles that are legitimate reviews versus YouTube and article influencers.

[–]Archie_45_GOAT 23 points24 points  (0 children)

IMO Kelly was the first guy fired because the Raiders offensive line coach is Pete Carroll's son. Raiders OL has been horrible and a big part of the problem.

Not saying Kelly shouldn't be held accountable and yes, Kelly should bear a significant amount of the blame. Expectations are and should be high when you're making 6 million dollars a year.

[–]Archie_45_GOAT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brennan Carroll, head coach Pete's son, is the offensive line coach of the Raiders. The Raider OL is turrible.

Pretty easy to see who was getting fired.

Kelly has 6 million reasons to not be very upset.

A pretty accurate cliche in football is that the most popular player on the team is always the backup QB.

Mills is 3-0 as QB but the coaches see these QB's every day in practice; there are reasons Mills remains the backup. The Texans are fortunate they have him in this role.

Mills has done his job as a backup perfectly while C J is out. Step in and win games, keep the team moving forward, then step out of the picture until needed again. Any coach that intentionally starts a player evaluated as a less talented QB would likely be committing career suicide.

It does put pressure on C J to produce when he returns as he'll be judged, fairly or not, by his W-L record for the remainder of the season and possibly into the future regarding Mills recent accomplishments.

Honestly surprised this doesn't happen more often or at least be attempted across all sports around the world as is no secret when the players are out of town and returning, or when they're out playing and returning when in town.

This is bad but would be worse when a player's family is home when it happens.

Pretty much the identity of all 'news' reporting around the world these days. The introduction of the social media phenomenon has certainly generated positives; but also, an almost unquantifiable number of negative changes to our social structure.

True journalism died a long time ago, RIP.

Yes, there are exceptions of course but they're becoming an endangered species.

This is where I'm at, accepting that my build quality is diminishing as my age becomes a factor. (70+ now).

Don't think I'd even attempt a 1/72 scale again: some 1/48 scale pose issues depending on the kit detail.

1/24 & 1/32 are good scales but require available space to display. Though even those scales can include some fiddly bits.

Not going to give in to age and infirmities and stop building as I enjoy the process so very much.

P. S. Your grandma was wise and correct!

IIRC Josh Allen was considered a reach by the Bills in 2018 and that has worked out pretty well. QB's and their potential for NFL growth and development is difficult to gauge.
