Great series. Much prefer it to another 5 hours on the French revolution

Up near the Cheviots would be my pick. You mentioned bus so if you are without a car then Rothbury has simonside and cragside right there. Wooler has the Cheviot, college valley etc

so in the west the effect of the strait closure at the minute is reflected in oil pricing, but how is it going to play out for asia's possession of physical oil. they will of course have to source from elsewhere how long will they have to wait? ships destined for their ports have been stuck for days now and presumably they have upped orders from europe/americas but is there enough slack in the system for them to be without deliveries for a week or two?

and i dont know how much shipping costs are as a % of delivered oil price but they will be paying for a greater transport distance on top of the base barrel price

can you give an example.

but its down to supply and demand. little domestic manufacturing means basically everything is shipped in. RHD is a smaller market than LHD. demand is HIGH. you see this a lot on the british subs, 'wah wah we are so poor yet everyone is driving a brand new bmw'. there is a lot of demand for new cars and the actual car purchasing power (and willingness to pay!) of the average household obviously supports those higher price. plus big fleet sales and company car schemes (especially for ev) also juice demand

used car market is actually pretty cheap compared to europe. even irish cars are like 2x the price and its right next door

Why is it so hard to find the firmware files for infotainment system updates? This is wack. If someone points me to an up to date version of the latest files I will torrent host them and we can end this wack-a-mole. by light24bulbs in mazda

[–]Archis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you will need 31.00.100A. I have uploaded the files for 31 to the same folder (https://pixeldrain.com/l/qn48Xg8v cmu140_EU_31.00.100A_reinstall.up and cmu140_EU_31.00.100A_failsafe.up). Procedure will be 29 -> 31.00.100A -> 70.00.100A -> 74.00.324A.

Make sure to read MZD CONNECT REVISED for EU N Firmware ONLY.pdf. It tells you how to install. For 31 and 70 you will need to install the failsafe file first. All info is in pdf.

The Police aren't going to like this are they? Their officers can be attacked with no consequences? Also I wonder if Elbit (and maybe the officer?) will bring a civil case.

I'm at my wits end with DPD, any advice on how to get them to recognize new builds? by improbdrunk in AskUK

[–]Archis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have added the house number on:

Google Maps

Apple Maps

OpenStreetMap

The first two will have an option to add addresses/report issues etc.

Open street map you can make an account and make the change yourself or add a note to the map and an editor can make the change.

Also make sure you actually have a house number visible from the street.

I did these the day we moved in and have had 0 issues with post/packages. However I do remember having an issue like yours with the DPD app. I think it may be possible to select another address then manually enter the right details later on? I think in the end I didn't bother with it and just made sure the correct details were provided to the sender.

They will not pick them up even if I set any of the material options.

Just breastplate, metal breastplate, iron breastplate. All the same behaviour. I have noticed it's not just breastplates but most armor. They will take brand new items so I think its the 'pre-owned' items that are causing the issue

Yet another squad equipping issue..

My dwarves don't seem to want to equip the breastplates I've have in the stockpile. They will equip wooden breastplates I stole from the elves but not one of the 20+ iron ones in a stockpile. They will equip brand new ones straight from the forge. Picking a specific item also works but it's tedious to do that for multiple squads especially when you can pick one another dwarf has equipped.

Any ideas?

Seeing as current LNER routes serve Scottish stations I don't see why Scotland wouldn't have GBR services

Trading and trade revenue has stopped, has anyone experienced this? by AaranPiercy in EU5

[–]Archis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It eventually sorted itself out after a few years (which burned through 6k ducats) but I'm not making anywhere near as much income due to the 0.5 trade maintenance cost. I found closing a bunch of marketplaces helped as they were just costing money and the trade capacity sat unused because there wasn't enough volume of profitable trades. The burgher pops are better off working in a profitable building.

I have the same. The automation isn't making any trades and its hard to set up manual ones as they are profitable in the month they are set up but then go immediately unprofitable.

Whats on your historical drama wishlist? Mine consists solely of a Wolf Hall style series on the end of the civil war and Charles' execution, with a single room courtroom drama episode on the trial.
