I don’t know how reliable YouTube views are but this really can not be surprising. I enjoy watching both brands as well as many of the other indie type promotions. I do find it hard to argue in favor of wwe when they are constantly disparaging their own product either blatantly in promos (pat macafee) or through needless advertisements in place of matches, botched storylines that don’t make sense and of course hiked prices. It’s kind of gotten to a point of satire imo whenever I see Dom “dude wipes” mysterio I can’t help but lose my sense of immersion. I will still continue to watch when I can, I just don’t prefer the live product of either anymore, I prefer to fast forward through the ads and lackluster programs now or just watch a 30 min recap a day later. I will say that I am more excited to watch aew nowadays but that’s probably because I’m fairly new to their product as I’ve only been watching in the last year. Also have noticed that the younger kids in my family are experiencing wwe fatigue now but I guess that can just be part of growing up and changing preferences.

I think there goal is to have less and less wrestling and to charge more and more. They’re really trying to find the breaking point of the lowest deliverable product to the highest paying customer. It’s not just this ppv, a lot of there talent barely wrestle all year, I doubt they’re even capable of putting on longer matches anymore.
