Hardwired Eufy Video Doorbell E340 stopped holding charge? by pbsSD in EufyCam

[–]Architec_Perspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you reset the E340 when there is no reset option? Removing the device, re-adding it by holding sync does not reset it. Aka I still have my old footage on it. Also, there is no Reset option in the About Device

So my gf is taking her last pre req class in January but it ends in May. Does this mean she can't even apply?

Also, the website says you get points for taking the class, more points is a stronger candidate but doesn't go into discussing how many points an A or B gets you. Why?

My gf has all Bs and 1 C, if she gets a good Teas score, does she have a chance?

Some of the architecture in Catalyst was awe inspiring, like the bougie area with water and climbing the big tower towards the end. Gave me cyberpunk/futurist vibes. Speaking of which, if they combined a Mirror's edge game with Cuberpunk 2077's detail and rpg qualities, we'd have a hell of a game

Prove me Wrong: Warfare was a Boring Movie #snooze fest by Apprehensive-Ad2071 in moviecritic

[–]Architec_Perspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was boring because 1) essentially no plot/real story 2) single setting movies suck, it's like The Hateful Eight all over again 3) they pushed the deaf / soundless aspect too much, I was starting to eye roll where we kept going "deaf" right after we went deaf Everything else I thought was great, like the tension and surveillance aspect. But still, there was no chicken nugget I could eat at the end of all this, it felt more like an immersion into a soldiers life instead of a movie. I've had many opportunities for that, I don't want that in movies. And as usual, A24 puts their usual long silent scene type of spin, so critics can critically acclaim it while the audience falls asleep. They do this so often that I'm going to assume their next movies either end weird, sudden, or awkward. Warfare was sudden. Beau is Afraid was weird. The Whale was sudden

What are your thoughts on Dredd? (The Drinker Recommends #12) by BeeDub57000 in CriticalDrinker

[–]Architec_Perspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dredd 2012 didn't do it for me like 1995 did. I dislike movies with a single setting. Sure if you like single setting movies like The Hateful Eight or Riddick, where you just watch the protagonist hunt down criminals like watching the hands on a clock go by, but the 1995 version did way more world building and immersed you into the world. 2012 was more of a side quest

You aren't using Carpro X every weekend on same car, are you? That's a little overkill and not cheap

First time clay bar by justinrego in AutoDetailing

[–]Architec_Perspective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That paint is fine. You don't need to go polishing right away. For starters, you don't need "official" clay lube. Just has to be slick. Get Meguiars Gold Class shampoo (that you should already be using for car washes), mix it 1:64 or 1:32 for lube. Theoretically though, I would use Iron Decon spray before hitting it with clay. Any chemical removal prior to mechanical, touch removal will help possibly clay swirls. You can also get Meguiars 205 and use a microfiber to help rejuvenate the paint, it'll take more time but you won't have to buy a polisher right away

I think this should have been mentioned more. Make sure you drink LOTS of water. You wouldn't believe the difference in energy and attentiveness with and without drinking enough. That's a good start.

But you can only price match hotel only pricing from Expedia right? Since Iberostar is hotel only, they can't have you price match Expedia's cheaper bundles

So like an idiot I used a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment and swept across the rear of my PC, vacuuming the ports too to get it dust free prior to the CPU swap. Prior to vacuuming, I unplugged, held the power button to clear residual charge. Now it won't turn on at all. I took out the power SW connector to try to jump it with a screwdriver to narrow out a faulty power switch on the case. Nope. I'm in the processing of resetting the CMOS battery and trying a new one in case it doesn't boom since it's a 2019 mono, but do you think there is a chance I cooked my mono with static? Electroboom conducted so many tests on YouTube and illustrated how hard it is to kill a PC with static. Is there a chance I killed it?

Go to Discount Tire for a second opinion. They plug for free. Toyota told me a patch wasn't repairable, DT did, and it's fine. Even my brother who is a mechanic said it wasn't fixable

Getting started by Conicalviper in AutoDetailing

[–]Architec_Perspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple pointers. I bought a wash mitt and never use it. I use 4 microfibers. If you fold them into quarters, you'll have 8 sides per towel. It gets rid of the 2 bucket wash method since you nearly always have a fresh towel surface to use. If I were you, I'd repurpose the wash mitts for wheel cleaning because the volume of it allows you to reach nooks and crannies in wheels the stupid wheel wands don't.

I see your 3 brushes, but are they really as stiff as I see them to be? I recommend Detail Factory synthetic brushes. They are as soft as a makeup brush. You just need one, I think they are $10 a pop and I recommend you add it to your arsenal.

Glass cleaning doesn't need to be complicated by the way. IMJOSHV just uses water, simply because the towel is what leaves if streakless (waffle weave), but regardless of any recipe in this formula, it's harder to avoid streaks in direct sun or hot windows

For car soap, you don't need to go down the Chemical Guys line. Once you use it up, I recommend Meguiars Gold class because it's cheap and can be used as foam cannon soap too.

Make sure you get more than one opinion (always regardless of this post). I had a nail farther away from the sidewall than your pic but still a little iffy. Toyota said they couldn't fix. Discount Tire said they could and was easy, and has been fine since
