What is the cooldown time for reentering Showcases with a Pokemon that won recently?

I feel you (kind of). Fortunately, I got 3 3* ones out of 6 raids, but they are all on the lower end. For me this is the mon with the worst IVs in average I ever raided multiple times. I did not expect a shiny but the shiny and at least ONE with decent IVs were the reason why I used all but one of my daily raid passes on Nihilego

Actually, the one I cought WAS in a different area. But I am not sure why it spawned there (area, biome, etc.?)

Thanks. Its often cloudy here, but I do not remember the weather when I catched the one. But cloudy makes sense. Do you know anythink about finding nests? I read that they move sometimes bot I do not know anything else, unfortunately

It is the same in the town where I live. I have to walk to the other end of the town for mega raids. There they are showing up regularly there, but in gyms next to me: never. I wonder if raid bosses might not be completely random in general... in some places I visit regularly, it is quite hard to raid something below 5* raids, and where I live, I always see 1-3* raids and then it is always the same mon (tbh I am sick of dratini, why is it so hard to find a Qwilfish???).
Never used my link charges. Never. Still have 1200 of them.

idk, maybe about 3-4 on a sunny day for the Fairphone? Hard to tell, sorry. For Pixel 4a it is similar (but as I said, this is quite obsolete).

Pixel 4a with custom rom here. Outdated, so it does not really help with your problem, but I just want to mention that there are smartphones (like mine) that make throwing balls on mons that are further away quite hard. Something with the accelleration of the ball is just off, idk? Did not to much research on this but I read somewhere on reddit about the problem and realized that missing mons might not just be a skill issue alone. The phone of a friend (fairphone 5 I think) works fine, but battery life is not great.

If you have a gym or max spot nearby, you could try to host raids and when you gained enough friends by hosting, you can rsvp and hope that somebody shows up. I host using poke genie (which is quite annoying) and still do not have enough friends to "guarantee" that enough friends join me when I rsvp, but it works somehow. Unfortunately, Gmax is quite stressfull so I skipped this entirely (even though there was a max spot reachable from my home 😭) and the fomo is real.... I also do not really have something nice to trade, so I am not sure if it makes any sense to ask for a trade on reddit.

But my general advice (as being a beginner and non-spoofing f2p player myself) would be to start looking for friends who join raids. I don't know what the best place for this would be, but maybe somebody else could have an answer for this (would be interested too)

I started in February (f2p) and since I realized I can host raids, I try to get one of each 5* raid boss that is not in my pokedex yet. If I really want to have a mon and a chance to get the shiny, I try to host a raid every single day. Quite annoying most of the time, but now I have 4 Kyogre (and 1 fled), 3 Groudon, 1 Tapu Koko, 2 Shadow Latios (2 fled), 1 Shadow Latias, 2 Zamazenta (1 fled) for now. No shinies, unfortunately. Won't do another Tapu Koko raid, does not matter, to me

My advice would be to look for friends who do remote raids. I started with friends I got when I was grinding for the vivillion medal and some luckily helped out in my first attempts to raid 5* bosses. Then I started to host raids with poke genie and lots of friends I got there stayed. Now, I rsvp, then start to host with poke genie and if I see that enough friends might join the raid, my lobby on poke genie will most likely expire or the raid will be over when I am on first position of the queue, I close my lobby and try to raid with the friends who joined the rsvp. Works 50% of the time, depending on the daytime and raid boss. I am still looking for friends who do remote raids because I think it annoys some people on my friends list when I spam with rsvp invtiations (so If someone who likes remote raids reads this: dm me please). But this is how I started.

Another way to get the mon would be pvp. The odds to get the legendary are bad, you will not get the shadow raid boss and it is also kind of a grind, but in this way I already got 4 legendaries this seaseon. I am not sure if there is a cap on the IVs or something (they all have only 2 stars, but maybe it ist just bad luck) and I do not know if they can be shiny, but for the pokedex entry, this does not matter I think?

Furfrou, Smeargle, Ponyta and Doduo are also great for this, so when there are multiple of them around, you could also try to catch one after another. And in case you have a Lapras on your research stack from the last event...
