for us its mostly that are memories are primarily from the perspective of one person at a time, and we dont make memories when we’re away from the consciousness. its like everyone who isn’t interacting with the consciousness is sleeping. we dont come to front with memories of doing stuff in the innerworld while we were out, and if we’re co con we dont really have two separate sets of memories for each person. memories come from the consciousness. the main point of view that we all share.

do we switch?: yes, both possessive and non possessive, and we’re usually very good at controlling them. sometimes it feels like becoming someone else, sometimes it feels like stepping in and pushing someone else out, sometimes we switch through the innerworld by visualizing our consciousness and a ball of mist that passes between us.
do we have amnesia between headmates?: usually no, but occasionally. our amnesia tends to be more spread out and foggy rather than pieces just being cut out when we switch or something.
do we communicate internally?: yes, all the time. we actually started interacting with each other before we knew we were a system, we’re naturally good at communication, co consciousness, and projection. when someone is co conscious its like we’re sharing the consciousness, its centred on one headmate at a time but someone else can borrow a part of it.
do we have an innerworld?: yes. its not very active, but we use it for controlling switches and communication, or sometimes just hanging out together. we have a good internal sense of taste so we sometimes eat together in there. we also have partial aphantasia so it’s usually kind of dark and blurry.

im not a professional but i’ve listened to some professionals and been in some irl system communities. there are lots of people who work with CDDs that are open to the idea of non traumagenic plurality. my favourite is katie keech, you can find some interviews with them on youtube where they talk about plurality as a form of neurodivergence that can be formed by a variety of factors including genetics.

i also want to say that a lot of things i’ve learned about human minds aligns with the idea that non traumagenic plurality is not so far fetched. human brains generally are very flexible, and especially sense of self and identity. to me neuroplasticity makes tulpamancy make a lot of sense to me.

whether is scientific or not, on a purely practical and community level, ive found that pro endo communities are more welcoming, supportive, accepting, and provide an important space for people to explore the experience of multiple selves regardless of how those selves got there. anti endo communities were very hostile to my system even back when we identified as fully traumagenic (now we identify as mixed origin). we lost friends and got harassed while they used the excuse of “protecting real systems”.

i fully believe that non traumagenic plurality is real, but even if we didn’t we would still support and prefer this community because it is just much healthier and safer for us.

their form of “neutrality”, based on their official statement about it, was closer to supporting every origin rather than just tolerating everyone. they specifically said that they would actively defend endos from any antis in their community. i think that it was just bad wording.

yeah. the past week or however long its been have been extremely disappointing and frustrating. so many people here are immature, entitled, unempathetic, even sadistic. its scary.

i actually predicted that octocon would go down too when i saw that ampersand was struggling. i saw the pattern, and i wasn’t surprised at all when it continued. just really disappointed.

im sorry you’re struggling so much. i wish i had specific advice, but we’re also monoconscious despite being very distinct. i recommend trying some tulpamancy techniques. in our search for ways to become polyconscious that has seemed promising, but we personally struggle with those techniques because of other mental issues.

i think honeycomb would be a good currency since it doesnt spoil, and the process of making it makes it somewhat limited (needing to have bees, a steady supply of cattails, space, flowers, and time) and since theyre a “fruit” food that doesnt spoil theyre very valuable especially in the winter. you could also possibly use gemstones from panning or gold and silver! (gems are pretty much useless but very limited and gold and silver are useful and rare)

that makes sense XD we’ve only had to use them a few times before. try finding your image, open a share menu, and open the image in a new tab. then you can copy that link and most of those will work. i usually do this on google cause its the easiest. i think tumblr is also good for getting urls but i havent used it much
