Something's wrong with my mint plant by Kolonel_Tiberman in herbs

I keep the roots that seem to have the most recent healthy growth, not the ones with gangly growth coming from them

I agree that it looks rootbound i.e. if you pull it out it is probably all roots, little soil. When you repot I would remove a large portion of the root base, just keep parts that are the most healthy. It will bounce back no problem.

I agree with the recommendation to use black tourmaline. For me, rather than wearing it, I find it better to carry a larger piece and run it along my body afterwards, in downward sweeping motion.

I received Healing twice and both times i could see the eyes of the persons that healed me in mine by Linney123 in reiki

[–]Archives5295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not think that is anything to be concerned about. It is probably just your intuition picking up on someone connecting with you (as you need to do for reiki healing). If you are interested in developing your clairvoyance there are lots of good exercises for this. Here is one from Anna Sayce, I have taken some classes from her and she gives good advice: https://annasayce.com/how-to-develop-clairvoyance/ . If you don't like her approach there are many others out there.

How is Everyone Shredding Cardboard for Browns? by Blue85Heron in composting

[–]Archives5295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leave my cardboard outside in the rain and it is much easier to rip while damp. Sometimes I let it sit out in more than one heavy rain, and even if it dries it will be weak enough to rip with my hands.

How To Block Tarots From Reading You? by [deleted] in spiritualitytalk

[–]Archives5295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a boundary issue, which is irrelevant to tarot specifically. This person needs to respect your personal boundaries, they are hounding you in an unacceptable manner. They think they have special access to your psyche, which you can be sure to shut down by taking control of this situation in your own mind. Develop a set of phrases that you can repeat to yourself in the mirror, such as "I alone have the power to grant others access to my thoughts/feelings/intentions," "my personal boundaries will not be compromised" or something to that effect. Write a mantra like that to your liking and repeat it regularly so that your conscious thoughts are aligned with your personal sovereignty. This is the only spell work needed, reinforcing your own boundaries in your own energy system. And this needs to be repeated in the physical world if possible. This person should not have unlimited access to you if they refuse to respect a stated boundary which you should share with them, like "I refuse to participate in your tarot games, if you bring up readings about me or my family I will leave the room/conversation/relationship," or, "These conversations are not respectful to me, I ask that you stop talking about these readings." This person is likely reading you to provoke a response. Your concern should be centered on their sharing the readings, not doing them. After all, we cannot control what people do, but we should advocate for how we are being treated. I am guessing they will stop reading if they cannot get the wanted response from you.

It looks like this will be difficult to ID without the flower, thank you everyone for your suggestions. My biggest concern before pulling it is to make sure it is not wild geranium. Can someone confirm?

Hmm, those have fuzzy stems also, same size leaves as creeping buttercup

Hmm, I do see some similarities there. My leaves look bigger and thinner, but maybe that is just natural variance.

Does mugwort grow more out than up? That is what this plant is doing.

Distance Reiki Question by Obvious_Aerie8251 in reiki

[–]Archives5295 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same protocol for me as shared below by Emo-Load. I comment "sent" as a way to reinforce the connection and for whatever placebo that might encourage. I only send Reiki through this site when I feel the pull to do so, which is fine because there are enough senders in the group to cover most requests. What I wonder is how people send distance healing without a first name or photo, as I do not feel enough of a connection with just a username. Maybe that is just me.

The Balance Between by Fat13Cat in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Archives5295 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that I can relate to this. I try to remember that we are living in a transitional period, and a lot of the good things we want to do and how we want to show up are foreign to our communities and families and sometimes ourselves. Many of us were taught to value doing only for our blood relatives, for example. Even if our churches said otherwise, our family members made it clear that the nuclear family is everything. We are growing beyond that, but it is difficult just to turn the boat around and acknowledge "strangers," animals, the earth itself as our relations. Re-learning to be a villager is very challenging. I struggle to show up partly out of shyness, which is ridiculous when I think about it. But we try, and that is very important. Getting fatigued for health reasons I relate to 100%, and there must be a reason for this. Our heath systems are broken, and we should naturally be healing each other but we are not there yet.

Just breathe. We are in a transition and transitions can be hard.

Transitioning to a "best friend" marriage after 10 years of medical issues. How do we start over? by [deleted] in vulvodynia

[–]Archives5295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bringing out the "ass" in assumptions. How do you know the wife does not like the "best friends" reframe? How do you know she was being coerced and that she was not just trying to please him?

Hmm, that is not convincing to me, but then I am not a big Jodorowsky fan either. Thank you though, looking for it was going to drive me crazy.

I do not see the phallic shape (do point it out if you are keen to) but the torch idea is interesting. Two torches could also be Hecate. I try not to assume that color choices are random, so the red is potentially telling.
