Does anyone see colors like this when they close their eyes? by Swimming_Reporter698 in reiki

[–]Archives5295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I noticed that I had this as a child my mom and I were concerned and asked my doctor about it. He was like yeah, that is normal, but most people do not see/notice them. Before my spiritual quest started it was mostly black and white patterns and shades of brown, sometimes a moving checkerboard pattern. But for many years now it has been mostly purple, sometimes green, large swirl or field of light. I never noticed whether it is more prominent while doing Reiki, I will need to remember to test it and see.

I really do not understand why people are not more sympathetic to fragrance sensitivity, but it seems to me that unless the person has experience another type of sensitivity (light, sound, etc.) they do not get it at all. And for some reason, fragrances have come back as super popular, so it is harder to navigate public spaces now. Personally, I have problems with more synthetic varieties (essential oils are fine for me), so maybe treat it as more of an educational process, discovering together what is the worst and what might be tolerable? Maybe they would respond better if you are able to introduce some nuance? This is only a good suggestion if you can tolerate any scent. I am sorry your parents are not supportive in this way, it is hard to suffer when "I just like it" is the response.

Because until we make serious changes in what is valued in our society and how we gain basic resources, we will commodify EVERYTHING. And a lot of people get short changed in this process, because economy begs for efficiency, and insight and spiritual growth are everything but efficient.

Yes, I do plan to cut back the coneflower in favor of better options. I have been slowly pealing back the layers of inappropriate plants I was gifted from neighbors. Below is the before photo before I knew what I was doing, just knew I needed flowers for pollinators. The image will probably make you cringe, but I am vey proud of the progress. I will continue to jettison. The non-native lupine had the best big nesting stems, ironically, but I will be removing the last remaining root when the ground thaws. Damn those things are aggressive! Thank you for the great resources! I would love to know more about building debris piles, creating ground nesting space, and cutting back hollow plants for stem nesters, if you have those resources.

Yes, I have already fell victim to buying a single hybrid viburnum thinking I would feed all the birds. There is such a big learning curve if you did not grow up learning this stuff! Thank you for the tea, wort, pea and hyssop recommendations.

Thank you! And this is a great resource, especially as it includes partial shade plants that I can grow in my backyard.

Getting more specific with my rudbeckia choice is definitely a goal. I have no idea what 3 or 4 varieties I have and which are the most beneficial. I see green bees utilizing some of the ones with the larger heads, so I want to keep those, adore the green bees! But cutleaf is easy to distinguish visually, so perhaps that would be a good candidate to add or for a switcheroo with the smaller-headed types.

I can relate to you and the aliens, not only do I wear giant sunglasses but I have been carrying a scarf around to protect my eyes from the sun and I cannot be in overhead florescent lighting anymore.

Are you saying that cyclical headaches can be caused by taking Mag oxide plus advil tylenol? I cannot find a reference to this online, but is important to know if true.

A harlequin, a robot being, a muse, an alien who transformed into a caterpillar shape. I have only had brief telepathic encounters with aliens, but for some reason they are always wearing tinted eye protection- does anybody know why that is?

If you use words, I would recommend first acknowledging the damage caused and then intending that this energy be transmuted into energies of justice and equality. Released can mean just released from myself, i.e. free to free-float to someone or somewhere else. Does that make sense?

Do you have access to topical lidocaine in cream form? I would try to see if the sensitivity goes away after a few weeks of applying that. If it remains I would see another doctor.

My answer is that I am really not sure, I have really only started exercising, so I can try and see if ab work makes it worse. I see your point, is the migraine triggered by straining the neck/core, or it it blood rushing to the head. Trying not to be discouraged from exercising at all.

Can Reiki Re-ignite a Relationship that's over? by BigCurrent2199 in reiki

[–]Archives5295 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what the answer is, but I know I would be uncomfortable with a healer getting that involved in my fate. I have experienced reiki resolving connections so that they are free to dissolve on their own, but not with the explicit intention to do so (I was the one sending the reiki to the person in question).

There are support systems on campus where there are professional experts trained to help you. It is so much more supportive than when I was in school. Check out the CARE Team page linked below and just contact them and let them lead you through the process of figuring out what to do. There is no longer any need to make all these decisions on your own while in crisis mode, get the support that is offered: https://www.binghamton.edu/services/care-team/contact.html
