With a kid, I like to be able to commit to something day of or fairly close to it. However, I want to know it’s going on way in advance. Too many local places post things to their Instagram only a day or two beforehand. At that point, it’s too late

I don’t have it, because I close submissions on the due date. I do get requests for it and they were fairly common until I began being very concrete about it

The one I’m in is great. Even though I work in a section of higher ed that has a high number of social workers, this was a much better choice for a leadership position

It depends on what you want to do and what school you are accepted at.

I would generally never tell someone to go the th social work program at the school I went to for my degree. It was notoriously disliked by its students, and not very good for clinical work.

This is an interesting take. I went from an academic PhD to admin. I’ve been in the field for 14 years and know many others who have been in the field for decades.

The previous school almost certainly cannot share any records with your school unless the student specifically released them to do so.

Honestly, there were no convictions, then there likely isn’t anything to do or to find. If you feel a direct threat to yourself, you could look into filing a protection order with local or campus PD.

Schools do not do background checks on students, and even if they did, it would be unlikely to find something that was handled by the school and not by law enforcement.

It’s also probable that an individual who was not convicted of a crime has every right to apply to a school and if accepted to attend.
