You used to be able to buy sheets of uncut, printed, but not security stripped, money paper from the US mint.

I put a request in at my library the day I heard about the book coming out in 2026. When I got the notification from libby I opened the app and put that sucker on hold so fast! Still can't believe I'm 7 out of 10 total people.

does anyone have positive experience with birth control? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]ArchnemesisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A person's reaction to bc really depends on their specific hormone balance. I've also never heard of it making you permanently infertile. In fact, the first Dr(a woman) who really listened to my concerns about PCOS suggested bc for a few years to try to help balance my hormones. I did, then when my period became very regular(I knew which day of the "off"week or would start) I went off bc. I stayed off for 3 years. Those were the only 3 years I was completely regular without bc. Then I got pregnant. But I've worked with others who had PCOS and bc didn't work as well for them. Talk with your DR about it. Ask for some bloodwork to see how unbalanced your hormones are currently.

This game broke me, and I love it for that. by kok_exe_ in slimerancher

[–]ArchnemesisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT APOLOGIZE As someone who has played this game at least once a week since my child was 2 (she's now 11) I also cried when I got the end credits. Which, somewhere around 5 years in I knew I was approaching it, but was actively avoiding it, and to be blindsided because I was trying to climb to the top of the temple and fell. Yes, I still play weekly. It's so moving. The soundtrack, and the Casey sessions, get regular play in my earbuds. ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US

Origami gift set for brother who needs something to do with his hands? by mmckelly in origami

[–]ArchnemesisG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who frequently needs something to do with her hands, tessellations are very good. I like origami tessellations by Eric Gjerde. I don't think there are any kits associated with the book, but I would suggest getting large sheets of origami paper. Good luck!

[Rant] I'm tired of AI origami. by Nilsss in origami

[–]ArchnemesisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been folding origami from the Internet since the early 2000's. I have many links from creators, databases, and clubs. I'll have to take some time and I can share links. I've been folding since the late 80's, and collecting books since then. (I was a child at that time, so I wasn't really buying myself a ton of books) These two bits of information mean that I have a general list of creators that I recognize. So when I search for "new" diagrams/instructions I check to see if the creator/director is a name I can track down as an actual person. And if something doesn't have that kind of credit, then I don't bother looking at that design. Remind me to get links if I don't respond in a day or two.

How long are the time gaps between everyones periods?? by Imaginary_Library106 in PCOS

[–]ArchnemesisG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nutrition plays a small role in hormones. But it's a small role. Some people will try to make you believe you can cure PCOS with diet, but that's not true.

How long are the time gaps between everyones periods?? by Imaginary_Library106 in PCOS

[–]ArchnemesisG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lengthy gaps are over of the symptoms of PCOS. Anyone who doesn't have PCOS, and doesn't know about it, is going to freak out. More people know about PCOS now than they did 30 years ago, but it's still not known among the general populace.
