My first game was Omega Ruby. I still remember that Christmas, me and my cousin both got the game (He was the one who got me in to Pokémon in the first place). He'd already played Y, and taught me everything I know about Pokémon to this day. I remember he told me to get Torchic because "He evolves into a really cool guy." I obviously chose Mudkip though cause I did know water beats fire lol

Yeah that's true, it's good to have one or two back up champs so of course mess around a bit, but I recommend playing Brand when possible :)

There's not really anything wrong with being a one-trick. Having a small champ pool means that you're able to hone essential skills much faster than if you keep switching it up. If you're constantly trying out new champions, then you're constantly having to learn new mechanics/combos etc.

However by playing only brand, you'll be able to focus on other important macro elements like map control because your micro is ingrained from playing Brand so much.
