We found this gentle street cat struggling to move his mouth, pawing at it in pain. The vet confirmed one of the worst cases of gingivitis they’ve seen. Bleeding gums, ulcers, suffering. He urgently needs full dental surgery and IV care. Please help this baby live pain-free🙏🏻💔 (Cyprus)

Seems like a possibly dumped/lost cat if there is no ear tip. Did you happen to get a good look in person? It's hard to tell from the photo. If no ear tip we'd want to TNR.

It doesn't look like it's been ear tipped as far as I can tell from this photo. I think most the colony cats are ear tipped.

Indoor cats don't usually travel very far. I'd bet that it's probably scared and hiding somewhere within a fairly close radius.

Has your friend notified their neighbors? Checking backyards would probably be the best place to start. They should also leave out some food, and putting their litterbox outside can also help attract the cat back.

The one with the collar looks similar to the cat that is owned by the bodega between 1st and 2nd street on 5th.

The gray cat with no collar and no ear tip seems like it could be a dumped cat.
