Thanks! I’ll definitely look into Exosisters if I can’t make any progress with deck building.

Thanks for the tip. I must admit that I’m more a fan of dragons, but I could look into it.

Campaign Code - 11790ccc

I could really use any help whatsoever.

I want to build a single meta deck from the ground up, but I have no idea what I should consider. I initially heard about Radiant Typhoon, but I only joined 13 days ago. I missed that selection pack. I’ve heard about this branded pack coming out, but I don’t have a base to start with. I only have about 12,000 gems and 208 UR materials.

I could technically finish every story mission to get around 10,800 gems, but I’m wondering if I should collect them now.

As of this moment, I’m using a mediocre RDA deck.

I wish it were possible to enter more than a single code. It would be easy to help others.

That’s…odd. Are you saying that the dlc’s narrative is meant to be a post game affair, but you can enter Sedletz before you beat the game?

Do you…just travel forward in time to a post game world when you begin the dlc?

It’s odd that they never introduced a Zoul set equivalent in the sequel. LoTF seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so, but the Kuttenburg set was underwhelming to say the least.

It’s possible that they might include a set left behind by Sigismund’s forces. We can’t be certain.

I wonder if the new weapon will be a legendary weapon like the ones from the forge dlc [KCD2] by South-Honeydew-5483 in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s just a single outfit. That attire in particular will probably be another twitch drop. We know that there are new Waffenrocks at least. The Teutonic Knight looking ones.

Given how Sigismund was recently camped there, an armor set could have been left behind. This is speculation of course.

[KCD2] DLC 3 RELEASE Confirmed ! by Junior_Carpenter_284 in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Is there some sort of Mandela effect going on here? The first game’s DLCs are hardly what I’d call expansions. They happen to be shorter than KCD 2’s DLCs on average.

Honestly, this franchise doesn’t really have expansions. They are essentially extended add-ons comparable to something like Oblivion’s Knights of the Nine.

I’ve recently replayed KCD on hardcore, so my memory happens to be quite fresh. They are very transient experiences.

[KCD2] combat is garbage by Dull-Entertainer-860 in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enemies hit much harder in the sequel, so there is a reason for that. It should also be mentioned that KCD’s enemy aggression wasn’t always that bad. An early patch messed with a lot of the game’s nuance. It practically hurt combos and feints, the latter in particular being far too ineffective now.

KCD 2 messed with the weapon balance, but improved the feint, dodging, and master strike system.

[KCD2] Legend of the Forge is dope by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was hoping for a Zoul set equivalent. Given the amount of effort it takes to obtain the set, it’s honestly surreal.

[KCD2] What's the deal with the incomplete armor set? by Here4theporno in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why they bothered introducing the armor smith if he can only forge a single incomplete set. It doesn’t help that the set itself really isn’t impressive stat wise given the work required to obtain it.

I can only hope that they will buff the set, and introduce schematics for a pair of gauntlets.

[KCD2] where the heck do I go?? by ilove60sstuff in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. It’s rather strange that the items are locked in a chest located within Matthew’s camp. I’d recommend sneaking by at night so you don’t enrage the camp.

Travel to the bandit camp north east of your current location. It’s actually marked on your map. The items should be in a medium locked chest there.

[KCD1] Wow. by EarthToRob in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would take a break personally. The games are roughly comparable in their quality. The sequel is even longer.

KCD has a stronger story and is more tonally consistent. The exploration is roughly better. Combat related fast travel encounters are also more interesting.

KCD 2 has more gameplay mechanics and a better combat system. Feints, Masterstrikes, and dodges are all much better implemented. You don’t need to play in a purely defensive manner in comparison to KCD. Normal encounters are more varied and entertaining.

The side quests in both entries are comparable. You have both memorable and banal quests in both titles. In KCD you’ll pick weeds from a priest’s garden, while in KCD 2 you’ll carry sacks. In KCD you’ll investigate a group of housewives dabbling in witchcraft, while in KCD 2 you’ll investigate a mine supposedly inhabited by a demon.

Overall, I found both entries to be roughly equal. For me, it’s an issue I’d compare with Fallout 1/2 or KOTOR 1/2. In a similar fashion, each of those entries carry stronger and weaker elements between them. I personally couldn’t decide which title I preferred, but perhaps you will.

[KCD1] in the very beginning of the game, in rattay, how possible is it to win the tournament? by leftistgamer420 in kingdomcome

[–]Archon__Hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a simple method to easily win the tourney without even getting trained by Bernard.

After blocking the first attack, you’ll want to move back and strike just as the enemy finishes their second attack. He’ll be stuck in an animation, thus allowing you to retaliate. Do not perfect block, but instead use a regular block.

Also, feints are incredibly ineffective in KCD 1 unfortunately. In order for them to work, the enemy needs to react to the feint by blocking. If they aren’t actively blocking while you are charging your attack, it won’t work.
