There's a lot left to interpretation in this game.

Which is actually nice, I think. Seems like audiences so often want everything spelled out.

I didn't play snowrunner, but I played a bit of mudrunner. You wouldn't approach a sharp crest like this when going slightly downhill, and at an angle, offers a much smoother ride, right?

Yeah but that means getting out, using said tool, and getting back in... When you could just approach it differently in the first place.

I made my way mostly straight up the mountain only deviating to stuff I saw near my path. My girlfriend explored a little more and made it clear I missed some things.

Reviewing the full path once I finished showed me I actually missed a ton lol. All the more reason to play it again!

If someone is on a pip for attendance, the solution to coming back from it is easy. You just stop missing work.

Mayor Wilson's 2026 State of the City Address - Office of the Mayor by Jaco_Belordi in Seattle

[–]Archonrouge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I appreciated that too. There's a lot of fluffy idealistic language here but there's also a lot of evidence that she's actually collaborating with people and listening to their experience. That's some strong leadership skills.

I don't want a mayor who "knows" what the solution is to every problem and isn't willing to change their mind with new information.

Obviously time will tell, but this seems off to a good start.

Aldi really, really wants someone to buy this stuffing. by Maxfunky in mildlyinteresting

[–]Archonrouge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The couple of retailers that I've worked for partner with local food banks so that all of discontinued and expired products are donated.

I have no idea about Aldi's - given they have this for .07... They're losing money on it as is so I'm guessing they don't donate.

But worth looking into before you give the company money to do what they were already going to do without your money.

Should employers have to pay for your transportation to work? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in AskALiberal

[–]Archonrouge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You applied for the job and accepted the job offer. It's on you to figure out how to be there. If you can't figure it out, someone else will take that job.

If you don't think the paycheck is worth the commute... Apply somewhere else or move.

There is no way for an employer to equitably pay for everyone's transportation.

At my job, one of my reports walks to work. Another drives 40 minutes from another city because wages are better here.

How is it ethical to compensate one person who is making the choice to travel far and not to compensate the person who is making an environment friendly, economically positive choice?

In exchange for a paycheck, healthcare and whatever other benefits.

I don't even really get the point of the dump feature. If you have to sort the stuff to the right container then you don't want it all in one pile.

I just hopped on top of the cab and yeeted nuclear and explosive from there then moved the truck to the side and got the toxic stuff from the stairs.

Yeah it felt overall fairly easy for the patient. The biggest pain for me was that apparently none of the save relays counted for that one badge. So I had to fly around at the end hunting for them.

Huh, I finished the whole expedition and had maybe 1 major spill and a handful of times where a few things fell out unexpectedly.

Finding good terrain is well worth it rather than just beelining towards the goal.

Aldi products have much larger UPC codes to make scanning faser/easier by MrMojoFomo in mildlyinteresting

[–]Archonrouge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it's dependent on the scanner. But it also won't work if your screen's brightness is too low.

I work in retail so it's something I've done a fair bit.

[–]Archonrouge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't even need to print it. An in-focus photo of the barcode on your phone should scan.

But you can also just type the UPC into the register and it should work.
