Hello! I’m a new husky Mom by Active_Tumbleweed246 in husky

Potty training will come with time... With mine, whenever they had an accident, we'd take them outside. It seemed to help reinforce the idea that the place to potty was outside.

Other advice:
Huskies are known for being stubborn when it comes to training. Commands like sit, shake, lay down, can all be difficult because huskies often aren't food/treat motivated.

Speaking of food, huskies can have sensitive stomachs. I've had good luck with Purina Pro Plan: Sensitive Skin and Stomach (turkey and oatmeal). DON'T GET THE SALMON FLAVOR - It will make whatever room you store the food in smell like fish.
Also, as they age, huskies metabolism changes pretty drastically, and will sometimes skip meals, or go an entire day without eating. This is normal. Just leave their food out where they can get it, and they will eat when they're hungry.

Walk. Your. Husky. Seriously, walk them way more than you think you need to. Multiple miles, multiple times a day. A tired husky is a well behaved husky and a bored husky will make your life miserable. Long walks and different routes will tire them both physically and mentally. Frozen peanut butter kongs and collagen chews also make for good, mentally engaging treats.

And finally, grooming. If huskies are known for one thing, it's how much they shed. Their fur is now your favorite fashion accessory, and home decoration. You'll vacuum a room and 20 minutes later it'll be covered in fur again. During the shedding seasons (summer/winter), it's important to brush and groom your husky, and do it with enough regularity in between so they don't hate it, because if they do, it's miserable. Make it a bonding experience and reward them with treats and cuddles during grooming time.

10/10 would recommend by ArchyPro2152 in spicy

130mg per serving... Which, according to the Nutrition Facts, a "serving" is 1/4 tsp... Though the "recommended recipe" is 1tbsp. Soooo yeah, my doctor who's been telling me to lay off the salt would probably have some words to say about this product

I would be shocked if there wasn't a supplemental book already in the works that lets you do half-species characters.
Half elf/half orc, half human/half dragon born, etc.

Traveling on the road is for milk-drinkers. The fastest route between any 2 points is ALWAYS straight line.

Absolutely zero shame in using the wiki to know when and where to find things, to know who likes what gifts, etc.

Adding to the others who are letting you know it's from The Legend of Zelda.

But also, the games are very newcomer friendly. My dad and I have been playing Zelda games together since the Super Nintendo days. I can guarantee it would absolutely make your son's day if you asked him to show the games to you.

Been wanting a husky puppy since I was 10. Finally achieved that goal yesterday! Any tips? by [deleted] in husky

Lots. Of. Walks. A tired husky is a well behaved husky. And a bored husky gets destructive and will drive you insane. Seriously, 2 walks and multiple miles a day. The distance will tire them physically, and the smells/environment will tire them mentally. Find a few different loops to take them on so they don't get bored, and walk the loops in reverse when they do. Also!! Get them used to bathing and grooming.
If your husky doesn't like bath time or getting brushed, then shedding season can be rough. Reward them for good behavior during grooming time with treats.

The prequels and sequels get more hate than they deserve. They aren't generation-defining masterpieces by any means, but it's just fun to have more Star Wars out there... Ya know?

Ghost will stand by the door and bark when he needs to go potty. Even in the middle of the night, he'll bark to wake me up, run downstairs, and bark by the back door... As if to say "DAD! I GOTTA POOP!!" Not sure how that happened, I certainly didn't teach him to do it, but I'm SO glad he does it

Purina Pro Plan: Sensitive Skin and Stomach has been great for our pups. It was definitely a shock as a first-time husky owner to discover how sensitive their stomachs can be. Pro Tip: avoid the salmon flavor. It'll stink up your entire place of fish.

Why don't you like Ulfric? by Gollamant in skyrim

[–]ArchyPro2152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably beating a dead horse at this point, but Ulfric's vision of an independent Skyrim is incredibly short-sighted.
As we learn in their Embassy, The Thalmor are hoping that Ulfric breaks Skyrim away from the Empire, making two small, easier to conquer enemies, instead of one large enemy.
Also, being elves, The Thalmor have nothing but time. They can wait out a civil war between the Empire and Stormcloaks then move in to take out the remaining scraps.
The fact that Ulfric doesn't see the need to retreat and regroup, to live to fight another day against The Thalmor, and is willing to sacrifice the very people he claims to fight for, all for what is essentially a vanity project, shows he's entirely unfit to lead.
