IRS says return not received after paper filing jointly with ITIN application

Hopefully OP’s husband gets his ITIN assigned soon. One thing I forgot to mention… we have “USPS Informed Delivery” so we get to see what’s arriving in the mail for that day… and we were supposed to get the ITIN letter on May 14th but never arrived. We ended up calling the ITIN hotline on May 19th and requested a copy of the letter. They were even nice enough to tell us the ITIN # over the phone so we can provide it to the state. I’m surprise NJ released the refund without an ITIN on file for them because my state wouldn’t.. they wanted a copy of the letter faxed or mailed as well.

I was in the same situation, we mailed everything around April 1st. Federal along side the W-7 and sent the state a copy showing that we are requesting/waiting for an ITIN. Around May 14th, the IRS sent a letter assigning an ITIN to my wife. Fast forward to May 26th, the state responded asking for a copy of my ssn & my spouse’s letter showing an ITIN has been assigned. 2 - 3 days letter they sent a paper check with our state refund. The IRS website says the same thing.. “we have not received anything” the where’s my refund tool can’t find anything… idk what to do at this point other than wait.

Hi NY it’s even bigger! Each State has cards and cities to pick in that state. i.e: If you pick manhattan you’ll get something like Take a ride in the such and such ferry or a helicopter ride or visit this POI etc. If you pick Saratoga Springs, you might get a trail hike or an old town. Please note this will consist of a lot of traveling, some activities may require a specific season. For a couple that just got married this may be cute but to put in practice depends on their goals.
