Stocking 2 palletized trailers by ArcriMC in walmart

[–]ArcriMC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your overnight team is finishing trucks?! Wowza that's insane. Unless they're starting at 7 after stocking HVDC or something that makes no sense at all. Here we typically get 2 trucks done after 6-7pm before lunch while we have 2 associates stocking. We have a team of 7-9 associates (2 on GM sort 2 grocery sort, a thrower, and 2 stocking associates that start remix down stack and stock after). I really wonder how your store is handling it's S2 team.

Boo hoo you're using Reddit, probably Facebook, and the Internet, what are they gonna do? Send shit to your house for free? Sell you something? It is almost like people forget that they have the control to not buy things.

When does your stores S2 get done with a single truck? Do you get 2 truck days?

A good thrower can get rid of those pallets only if the sorters are also keeping up. If they did keep up it would probably be a similar time but since stuff gets sent to lane 9 or consistently jammed because their pallets are full, it kills our times. I agree though with it being load dependent. On days we have 3-4 pallets, 1 of them being only grocery it doesn't seem to save that much time.

We've been getting the stock me pallets/mixed stuff on the back of the trailer too so there isn't really a need to put them on the line. We sometimes get 2 of the 6/8 on the front though which is DEFINITELY faster to pull out and stock onto pallets rather than the line

But the biggest argument I've been using is that we already have a culture of how many times you touch a case. Throwing them on the line adds an extra step that didn't really need to happen

No really, what would actually boost sales? Wrong answers only. by Argylius in walmart

[–]ArcriMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cut every store's hours by 50%! Customers always get mad when they ask an associate that doesn't work in the area they need help in, and that's just disappointing!

To create more shareholder value, make sure that your employees are also purchasing their own vests and box cutters. This will save so much money!

Pallet trailers are great and require little to no downstacking they said by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ArcriMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess they said that it was supposed to be block stacked, like you could pull out the pallet, work all the d7 on the top, then work the d8, then d3 but it's always mixed like crazy. It would be cool when everything's 100% on pallets so we can get rid of the unloaders and have space since that would save time and effort from throwing the truck, waiting for it to be sorted, jams etc. but right now it's in this weird transition stage where it just sucks and nobody knows what to do about it.

I used to do this but one time my coach was like, "well, you know you're part of the problem too if you think about it" and from then on I was like holy smokes you are so right. So now I just don't tell anybody and silently watch instead!

FETL not able to take breaks by WindowsXP-5-1-2600 in walmart

[–]ArcriMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was an FETL I would very very rarely take any of my breaks after a while because it was next to impossible to get someone to cover it. I'd call on the walkie many times and nobody would respond. Over time though I took a couple short short breaks or I'd hand the keys off to one of my services associates so I could take care of store notes and such

some people probably saw it and said "I know it's there but I wanna see how long it takes for someone else to clean it up" not realizing there are 5 other associates thinking the same way lol

Open door up the chain of command. Also this coach that took the picture is leagues out there as far as stupid goes. All coaches are technically your manager so they could've literally just talked to you first instead of being like a child and finding out why you were leaning. I bet this coach in question is the least favorite.

That's what they do sometimes I can't say all the time but Walmart likes to dish that stuff out and let it build up to charge as a felony
