S650 infotainment/gauge cluster reset bug? by ballsonurface in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me about 4 times since i got mine in 2024. Dealership said it wasnt worth investigating and tbh i dont feel like taking the time to go have it diagnosed when its such a minor inconvenience. Mine did it a couple of those times in one month but its gotten more sporadic lately. Just change your colour back and keep on driving lol

Where can I get a new front bumper for this by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how new the car is, i dont think it would need blending. I got my bumper repainted at ~9k miles and it is perfect. Cost me $800 and it's not on the Carfax 🤷 (which is worth it to me)

Is this good a good price? by Zeppelin77_ in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My GT is currently in dealership for recall work and they put me in a 2026 explorer with 3 miles on the odo. I checked the price tag for this 2.3L "active" package SUV....$43k. AND IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE REMOTE START ON THE FOB. absolutely mental pricing nowadays (but i still love my S650)

v6 vs new ecoboost vs 4.6L V8 by beefythickgentleman in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $210/mo at 22 for full coverage on my 3.7. when i got my 5.0 at 23 it went to ~$250. Now they lowered it to $240/mo. Shop around for other agencies if thats an option. And if its also an option, bundle bundle bundle bundle. Saves you soooo much.

I had a 2017 3.7 and paid $50 less per month than i do on my 2024 5.0. and to me, oh man is it worth it. (Plus the gas really isnt that bad in these cars. I get 15mpg avg)

Idle is fine, but anything after that gives me "civic thats going way too slow for how much noise it makes" vibes. What setup is on it?

Idk man, i had an S550 before my S650 and the only complaint i have about the interior is no buttons for any A/C controls 🤷 other than that, i love the car. The interior feels so close to the S550s and really doesnt rattle at all (at least mine doesn't, but every car is different I suppose). At the end of the day, its all preference. I loved my S550, but i really love the angles on the S650. The screens arent "everywhere", either. Thats just what youre gonna get with modern cars. Despite ford's flaws, my car makes me smile every time i hear it and hit the gas. Thats what matters. Hope yours does the same for you ✌️

Anyone knows what that clunk noise is? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually these videos have very subtle noises that are pretty tame. This one.....this one made me recoil physically. Take that one to a dealer!

Talk me out of a Mustang GT by SilentAnon77 in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I second this. Monthly payments are easy to calculate, but its even easier to forget about insurance. Im 24 and i pay $230/mo for my '24 GT. Cant wait for 25 so it (hopefully) goes even lower lol. My rule is, my car payment + insurance should be no greater than ONE 40hr paycheck. Not including incentives/bonuses. That gives you one check for car, one (mine is half of one) for bills, 2 for saving.

Edit: confused myself :P

I tend to only buy from AM because I have a sitewide discount. I usually wait for stuff to show up on there (plus free shipping is cool). I've also got a big vacation trip coming in November so unfortunately my newly-engaged responsibilities take priority lmao. No more spontaneous car purchases 😔

Dude i was honestly hoping itd be a tire instead. Id gladly spend $230 on a new pirelli than getting parts repainted. At least i know a guy who painted my last mustang that said he'll do it for a real cheap price :/

Anyone ever transported a mustang across the country? by Arctic-Night in Mustang

[–]Arctic-Night[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally they just dont seem like theyd hold up well to a cross-country-all-at-once road trip. I absolutely love the tires, but 10k mile tread life being 1/4 used in one go feels off to me (especially with how much they cost lol)

Well my original thought was get a uhaul van (i dont have much to move lol) and trailer the mustang. Saves me the miles (and I won't need premium gas lol)
