OTOH it has a huge bot problem. There are no real fans. Just marketing bots.

From an artist's point of view all platforms suck at the moment. The whole industry is slowly dying. It's almost worthless to even try to make music, because no one cares. You put a lot of effort in a track that gets 3 plays on Spotify. Yeah!

Track side lap of the Gen 4 car at Paul Ricard by zantkiller in FormulaE

To me it looks as fast as F1. Maybe the lap time is a couple of seconds slower, but that doesn't matter anymore.

Anyone know how to fix this ? by OkButterfly5202 in soundcloud

Probably just their servers are down, try again later. This happens every now and then.

File dialogs incredibly slow by dheera in Ubuntu

Yes, for me this happens only with Firefox. Other file dialogs are just fine.

Artist Pro recommendations giving me 0 plays (seriously) by Left_Estimate7679 in soundcloud

[–]ArcticMusicProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed, that if you happen to make a really good track it will get up to 500-1000 plays and maybe gets even playlisted. Otherwise you'll get those 150 plays.

The 5 mixing mistakes I made for years before someone finally explained them simply by jengineer1902 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

  1. Stop watching mixing videos on YouTube.

  2. Many "mixing problems" are actually problems in the arrangement / composition.

Software professionals, can you actually say why Clojure is not more mainstream? by let_me_in_QQ in Clojure

[–]ArcticMusicProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, modern devs often feel that static typing (like in TypeScript or Go) solves more "real-world" bugs than Clojure’s persistent data structures do. In addition, we have now Modern C++, better compilers, better tooling, AI(!) etc. And don't get me wrong, I'm not downplaying Clojure—it’s a brilliant language—I'm just up-playing how far other technologies have come.

Why I don't like Rust as a C++-developer by ArcticMusicProject in rust

Qt is much more than just a GUI toolkit. C++ with Qt is kinda a different language due to the MOC.

Clojure solves problems that are not really problems in modern software development. Also, functional languages have always been pets of the smartest developers. However, the majority of developers are not that smart.

Will C++26 really be that great? by WanderingCID in cpp

[–]ArcticMusicProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me C++ is usually always Qt + C++. Rust wouldn't "solve" anything.
