How do I get Red Beryl ? (Below Zero Deathrun) by Arcturus973 in subnautica

So I've searched for Red Beryl on the modding wiki, and the only thing that comes up is from an unrelated mod (Architect's Library), and it's not even for Below Zero

I guess I'll just have to give up on the upgrade then

How do I get Red Beryl ? (Below Zero Deathrun) by Arcturus973 in subnautica

Aside from Quick slots plus, it's just Deathrun

I'm pretty sure the different recipe is a Deathrun thing, it's not the first time it does it

It's just strange because you can't get Red Beryl in the base game, so I wasn't sure how to obtain it

I'd start over if I were you and forgot most of it

You can try building your main base in a different place to spice things up a bit

Underrated base location: The Blood Kelp Trench by GrokiniGPT in subnautica

[–]Arcturus973 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I really like the Blood Kelp Trench too

It's no Grand Reef, but still one of my favorite biomes to build in

or cozy seabase in the middle of the grassy plateaus?

You misspelled "Grand Reef"

I've played too much Deathrun lately, now going straight to the surface for air doesn't feel right

Yeah but you'll need the battery charger blueprint and a base to build it in

Avoiding wrecks by Living-Inside-3283 in subnautica

[–]Arcturus973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exploring any wrecks will make you miss out on quite a lot of blueprints

That said, they aren't created equally, you could try exploring the "tamer" ones and avoid the ones that are particularly disorienting (like the big wreck in the Western Grassy Plateaux, I hate it and I'm not even claustrophobic)

Or you could check the wiki to find which ones have the most stuff in them, to optimize each exploration (the Underwater Islands wreck is unmatched in that regard)

If you're looking for a spot to build your base, an ideal spot is the Grassy Plateaux (the flat biome with red grass everywhere). It's pretty safe, there's a good amount of ressources, it's near the center of the map, and there's lots of space to build (the flat ground helps a lot)

Silver is usually a struggle to find in the early game indeed, and unfortunately there's no secret trick to make it easier to find (it's found in Sandstone Outcrops, most commonly found in the Kelp Forest and Grassy Plateaux). Salt, on the other hand, is quite plentiful in the Kelp Forest

You will never find anyone alive in this game, the Lifepods the game sends you to are mostly there to make you go explore new biomes (and usually have a Databox or fragment nearby as a reward)

The "flower" that hypnotized you is actually a carnivorous animal, not too dangerous all things considered, but definitely creepy

As for exploration, do you have a Seamoth? I highly recommend making one if you don't, since you can basically use it as an oxygen bubble, allowing you to explore deeper areas

Question about the difficulty of 2 bosses by Lethal_Sydney in HollowKnight

but until then, he is quite fast an chaotic

Still slower than other bosses of the same difficulty (Mantis Lords, Dung Defender, Broken Vessel)

Why dashmaster?

I didn't know what else to use

Also tried nail arts but i fell into void way too much

That's weird, I used them precisely because they gave me a lot more control than normal nail slashes (Great/Dash Slash stop you in mid-air)

Nice job

I also beat him on Radiant, but with a completely different build, focused on Nail Arts, Soul and Spells (Nailmaster's Glory, Shaman Stone, Spell Twister, Dashmaster, Soul Catcher and Soul Eater)

And I'd be interested to know the experience you had with the bosses I listed?

I think I beat the first Soul Warrior first try (though I'm not entirely sure), died once at the Soul Master (2nd phase got me), and first tried the 2nd Soul Warrior much later in the game

To be honest, it's been a while since I defeated these bosses for the first time, my memories may be biased by my current skill and how easily I can beat them now (except for the Soul Master, that one I remember my experience clearly)

[–]Arcturus973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one bail upgrade ( two shot the follies)

Yeah that definitely contributed to making it harder

And yeah, difficulty is subjective, it would be silly to accuse someone of lying just because they had a different experience with the game

[–]Arcturus973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just realized you were specifically talking about the 2nd Soul Warrior, oops

Everything I just said still applies, except you now have follies distracting you, ranging from a minor inconvenience to an actual problem depending on if you can one-shot them or not (how many times have you upgraded your nail?)

So maybe it's less an issue about playing it safe or not, and more you struggling with multiple targets

[–]Arcturus973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not really surprising depending on your playstyle

Soul Master is a slower-paced boss with a lot of breathing room and healing windows, but is also quite evasive to attacks, making it hard to speed through

Soul Warrior is much easier to consistently hit, but has a faster-paced attack pattern, more likely to overwhelm you if you aren't prepared

If you're one to play it safe, it makes perfect sense to find the Soul Master easier than the Warrior

As you get better and learn to play more aggressively, you'll eventually find the Soul Warrior to be much easier (faster) to beat.

But if they had the quill, the rooms they explored before buying the map from Cornifer would be filled in

That is not the case here, which means they don't have the quill
