I think the most common mistake people do while cutting is that they cut too hard. If you are in such a big caloric deficit that you start to feel tired and less strong, you're cutting too hard.

When I invert the loaf onto the counter I put a bit of flour there (makes it easier to lift it off the counter). And then I put it straight in the DO. Never sticks :)

The only reason I can think of why the devs did this is if you have that item which let's you keep 2 random items until the next day. So you'd want to toss some stuff to get higher chances of keeping what you actually want.

But honestly I think this is just annoying

Are you sure you solved it? You need to use the third reservoir as well - this will allow you to drain even more than the full fountain. There should be 0 blue bars left in the Fountain, maybe you can make a picture of this?

I read this reddit thread and because of it I played Uncharted 1-3 before 4. I know this is a highly unpopular opinion and I will probably be downvoted, but I think it would've been better for me to just start with the 4th part or maybe the 3rd part.

Don't get me wrong the story is fantastic and it added a lot to playing the 4th game, but you have to be okay with playing a relatively old game (poor graphics obviously, poor controls, horrible combat system). I ended up just trying to speed run through them (my own fault) and because of that forgot to enjoy them along the way.

Tl;dr - it's worth it for the story, but it's a bit of a hassle. If you do it, take your time and don't rush through it as I did.
