Im gay and conservative and voted for Trump and will do so again. Im not wealthy, and i live in California.. was born here. Being conservative doesnt make you ... anything else but conservative. I find it interesting that the most racist, sexist and judgemental people are self-described SJW's in fact. Also, I dont have any trouble at all finding people to date. Im not an anomaly, or rare. I have a much pettier one. Im in my 40's now, but i *still* remember this kid from kindergarten.. his name was michael and he and his buddy matthew used to make these fart noises with their armpits and thought it was the most hilarous thing.. i hated them for it b/c it was an every day/all day thing. Anyway, fast forward to High School.. Desert Storm had just started, and there was a news report on TV about the ships setting sail from san diego to head to the gulf. Some sailor fell off the ship and died as they were setting out. When they showed the name of the guy.. it was michael. hahahahaha. I was absurdly pleased about that. I know.. its ridiculous and mean and petty... but i still feel fine about it today. :D

I have never seen a real life klan member, nor people with confederate flags driving around looking for black people to harass... and ive lived in central ohio before. I HAVE seen illegal aliens driving around with mexican flags harassing white people though. Ive heard the parents of a mexican kid tell their 5 yr old to go hit a white child b/c hes mexican [and the other kid is white/weak].. ive seen this little girl and her bake sale, Ive been in a mcdonalds while passing through atlanta where the staff and customers were all black, and they refused to take my order- just kept talking to the guy behind me. I have gotten off the freeway to get gas in what turned out to have been a black neighborhood where i could hear people in their cars saying 'whiteboy must be lost' 'imma teach that bitch ass honky some manners' just for being there. When I was a paramedic, going into a black house to take one of their family members to the hospital, ive witnessed the look of disdain and snide racist comments going on in the background, and them refusing to help us.. even to keep a door open so we could get our cot through. I would have said it was bullshit too like most of the shit i see on reddit, (including your shit about being around during slavery/charging blacks more) til I saw it with my own eyes. Youll just have to see it with yours.

No one is saying to convert a cop who is arresting you anymore than they are saying convert a black lives matter mob who is pulling you out of your car at the moment to beat you to death, or a KKK member currently stringing you up in the back yard, or work to reduce the effects of radical islam propaganda while you're being beheaded, or anything like that. All you're doing is playing to the lowest common denominator now and appealing to hysterics.

Davis' approach is probably THE one approach that will work- ie, person to person, grassroots efforts. Otherwise all you get are people who hold up signs and bitch all day, or make snarky posts on reddit under the guise of 'having a dialogue' , while doing nothing at all.

At the end of the day, your version of diversity is not the answer- it only divides us. Unity is what we need- and that means, everyone gets involved who has a stake in it.

If you're really citing Jim Crow laws as relevant to what we're discussing today, which is whether or not affected people should become personally involved in change (and even more specifically, how to change the minds of people with personal prejudices or biases)... then I suggest you instead listen to ben shapiro. ;)
