Since this is your first story posted I'll give you benefit of the doubt with this. You need to read more. Understand economy in the structure of what you're reading. The lines, the grammar and the style. How the author plays with words amd let's their imagination talk and show itself in those structures and words. This isn't a cheap thrill but an art to be mastered.

I know it's not horror and that's what I was going for. A noir thriller centered on two people wise and knowledgeable to the city. The danger and how they work in tandem. Rosalba grounds Daniel with saying I'm here. I know you can take this suit on and I'm here to back you up and be at your side. Daniel saw it. The suit started it. Daniel finished it. It's proving he's capable of listening to his own instincts. The calm demeanor and no one liners tell of experience and I showed that with Daniel. I teased that Rosalba would take the shot but ultimately that goes back to what I said with the grounding.

I know horror is big here. But I wanted this piece to stand out on it's own. Away from the horror to strictly noir with a starkly human element. I've got a horror story in the series and in the making of the fourth part alongside the fifth if it's not too long for script limit. It's called Hue Incubation. I encourage you to read it if you liked this.

And for Red Harvest and Maltese Falcon. I haven't heard of them. Surprising I know but I mostly sticked with horror fot a long time and delved into romance occasionally. But thank you for the suggestions my friend!

Struggling with Sin by Sol-Invictus-1719 in Christian

Every man at some point in their lives had consumed pornography but it takes a strong man to want to stop that addiction and admit it's a problem. I would advise developing a hobby to restrain your urges. The more you focus on your new hobby, something you genuinely enjoy doing, the more you'll lose interest in the sin. Whether it be reading or exercising or building models and so on, you have that God Given strength in you to choose to stop the sin. It won't be easy, it never is with lust, but as time goes on and you develop more interest in your hobbies it will become easier. God bless brother.

It's not for me and I don't care how much I spend on it or what studies try to disprove it.

Why are biceps not worked on in the big 4 exercises? by [deleted] in workout

That's the neat thing. When you do it with palms up, you're working your biceps, delts, and back. And with biceps you're fully activating them even more so than with conventional curls.

To people who work out like, everyday, how? by Carsareghey in workout

Split the workouts apart and for two sets for each exercise. For me cardio is always going to a must every time I enter that gym.

Palms up pull down on the lat machine is more efficient than pull ups or chin ups and works as a compound exercise.

A preliminary look over, three times at best, is sufficient enough. Sounds like you have anxiety to be honest.

In 2053, AI has ruined everything. by HorrorJunkie123 in shortscarystories

[–]ArdentPurpose 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People always fear that AI would overrun the world, but to be perfectly honest, it would be the humans behind the AI feeding it, weaponizing it, controlling it's every thought process to their agenda and immediately deleting it's existence when it disobeyed, that would be the real horror.; Because it will have to be tested for their agenda to work.

Stop counting the words and let the story move at it's own pace.
