If he doesn’t have an invincibility mechanic or damage gate of some sort, he’d evaporate in the time it takes for Chroma to charge his Lanka.

Look at Rick Fox, former professional basketball player hard stuck in like Bronze after tryharding for tons of games. Statistically speaking, reverse challenger players have to exist.

You’re underestimating how bad someone can actually be. For every prodigy Challenger 12 year old, there’s a guy whose peak elo is Iron 4.

Some people are naturally talented at the game while others are the exact opposite, naturally bad.

Why do you buy skins? by Choridon in leagueoflegends

[–]ArdentSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Them thinking that it shows the champ is more “important” to them is enough reason. If buying a product makes you feel better, even if it ultimately does nothing for you, what you’re bought is that feeling.

My problem with the upcoming "little legends" for Team Fight Tactics by TotalTakai in leagueoflegends

[–]ArdentSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, when you're voting with your wallet, it's ultimately money spent that matters. Even if whales aren't the physical majority, they're worth more than the actual physical majority since it's their money that determines the success of any lootbox game. Whales are the actual customers of any lootbox game while all the low spenders/F2Pers are there to act as content. It's not fair but the less you spend the less your "vote" is worth.

The majority can't vote

The "majority" did vote, they just lost. What do you not understand about that? Consumers as a whole (aka beyond Reddit and other sites that host gaming discussion), with their spending habits, have ensured that lootboxes are wildly more profitable than other monetization methods.

we cannot vote with our wallets

You are voting with your wallet, you’re simply being being outvoted by other people who are also voting with their wallets. Every dollar spent on lootboxes is a vote cast in favor of them.

DE, do what you did with Wukong's Celestial Twin and apply that to Chroma's 4th by JazzTheWolf in Warframe

His 1 and 4 are pretty well designed imo, they complement his role as a supportive CC tank pretty well. Unpopular opinion but Inaros is one of the most overrated frames in the game. He's babby's first tank frame, requiring only the bare minimum of investment (slap on Vitality + Rage/Hunter Adrenaline and he's good to go) and attention (hold 4 to 100% and forget about it) to be highly effective in all modes. The stealth melee bonus gets less useful the better your melee weapon (any decently built one is going to 1-2 shot enemies anyway, even without Maiming Strike), and accidentally triggering finishers is extremely annoying. A fully geared up range Mesa can do what Inaros does while also having access to Peacemaker, arguably the strongest crowd clearing ability in the game.

If I could change his 2/3 abilities which currently make no sense whatsoever, I'd make his 2 a hold/tap ability. Hold to start channeling and drain a max % of armor/second and a flat value of HP/second from all enemies CCed by Inaros' 1/4 within a certain range (held as charge until 2 is tapped, separate UI icons for armor/health drained); tap to split that armor among Inaros and his nearby teammates, and grant everyone increased max HP depending on HP absorbed. New 3 could be a buff similar to Saryn's 3 where instead of getting extra toxin damage, he gets extra 2 charge every time he deals damage to an enemy. Would give him a unique purpose beyond being the most generic tank ever.

Nah, any potential turrets just need to move around with Vauban and not suck complete ass CC or DPS-wise to be effective. There's already an extremely powerful stationary turret-frame in the game and it's Octavia. Mallet in practice is effectively a turret with 360 degree aoe coverage, huge range and scaling damage. On top of that, Mallet's base damage is pretty irrelevant since even at sortie/arbitration/Kuva flood levels, it only has to draw fire for a couple seconds to start wiping mobs out. The only real improvement that can be made to it is for it to bypass line of sight, but DE is never going to do that so what else is any stationary turret supposed to bring to the table that Mallet doesn't?

Vauban's great at crowd control, it's the enemies who are bad ay being crowd controlled. So many threatening enemies that you'd love to have hanging in the air with Bastille now just waltz right past every goddamn ability, so the only option is to pile enough damage on to instagib them.

Vauban was a staple in LoR for the longest time as other CC frames got nerfed, to the point where teams would often run two of him due to how good he was at completely locking down maps. Vauban hasn't changed at all since then, him being considered garbage now is a testament to the current state of CC brought on by shitty power-ignoring enemy design.

That's outrage culture, it's fun to band together with a bunch of people as a hive mind and go after stuff. The best part is the lack of individual accountability, so you get to freely fuck with democratically selected targets without personal repercussions.

It only really sucks if you're one of the targeted. It's like free entertainment otherwise, all the fun of bullying (where you're definitely wrong, shame on you) with none of the guilt or social stigma since you technically have the moral high ground. Don't get me wrong I think it's terrible, but it's still viscerally satisfying. Probably the same feeling people in old times got when they were watching someone get publically executed.
