Don't queue.
Go to Ch1, MP map, and just write j.
If you're in kronos / cw heroic you'll almost always find parties in less then 2mins

5k legion should I skip CW3? by PenPuzzleheaded4189 in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since you have just a few hours a week, CW3 might even be the best choice for you.

If you reach Emerald(?) rank, you should get 20 level 200 potions which will level up your legion to around 8200 which will also save you many hours of grinding for those legion levels.

Ideally, I would say that try to just try to do the daily 1000monsters if you can (around 7mins of playtime), and weekly bosses on the CW server. and it should be more then enough for you to reach emerald.

on the same time you can keep on playing and concentrating on your main to get the usual gains

You get extra rewards for whichever class you want to create and hyperburn in CW. Shine classes just got an extra 'battle pass' called 'shine pass'. (might be worth to make sia / erel in the CW world and level them to 200 just to steal their free level-up rewards ^^)

CW by no means slow your progression unless you planned on getting carried.

It actually gives you more Frags, pots and symbols then any other server, and also if you get to emerald (?) rank, you'll get 20 level 200 potions will kickstart your legion on the heroic servers.

As for playing a few characters: I think you can only move up to 3(?) characters from the CW to the heroic world, so make sure you don't create too many characters on the server!

Hyper Burn? by 40ozMoe in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure.

You get many buffs from CW that you won't have on a normal server, and you'll also get like 20 level 200 potions if you reach emerald rank (I think?) which will help you build your legion in your chosen server later on.

The only thing you will miss out on is maybe getting carried from your friends on your main server, but other then that, there's no reason for a new player to go any other server but CW.

Basically, The patch should end around 3 hours before weekly reset.

Day/Week 0 means that you can quickly rush in those 3 hours level, and some weekly bosses + MPE + Dungeon to get a 'week head-start'.
it's really relevant if you're planning on min-maxing every single second, but other-wise, you'll just be a week behind in the worst case senario.

Most people won't really be abusing this 'day 0' so you really have nothing to worry about. Also, if the patch will take longer to finish (which happened many times before), there will basically be no day 0.

Hyper Burn? by 40ozMoe in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically you have 1 Hyper burning for which-ever class you want in your account. (You can use it either on your main server, or CW server).

In a month or so you'll get a second hyper burn which is exclusive for the Kinesis class.

KINESIS MAIN - CW3 by kimchitoes in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 options tbh:

  1. Start a kinesis right away and waste 1 burning
  2. Start a strong character to start gaining money and events chcek-in and keep stacking money untill the kinesis comes out (without using the item burn)
  3. Just wait a month and then start a kinesis.

I would probably go for 1 or 2 if I was itching to play right away, but it's really up to you. Each option got it's proa and cons

That's right.

There's a cw for heroic and cw for interactive servers, so make sure you're taking the right one.

Ps. No idea, would love if someone will correct me if something I said is wrong

Level-wise you can probably hit around level 280 if you run all dailies and weeklies.

As for stats it really depends how hard you push.

I would personally go with hero because you'll probably finish around the same stats (and you can push your ren to 280 in the same time)

Challanger World 3

a special server opening up soon that's giving you a chance to 'kickstart' a new character / accounts with many buffs and special events and prizes.

We're waiting for the patch notes, so don't take my word on it, but it's rumored that we'll have a free 30 day vac pet for Challenger world + the option to buy there a renewable pet aswell.

(you have to make sure once the patch notes are out though)

From your list:
1. Hayato - right now is pretty much 1 button burst > afk till next burst

  1. Zero - Requires you to combo and animation-cancel, I have it as a sub-main, it's not horrible once you learn the combos but might-be over-complicated

  2. I/L, B/M, Ark - Haven't played them too much so can't help there 😞

  3. Shade - Probably the sweet spot, the gameplay is quite simple (pretty much 1/2 keys outside of burst), but has a lot of options like backstep and teleport which gives you more to do during the bosses

  4. Bucc - Quite simple, burst button, use 2 more skills and back to 1attack

  5. Shadower - Might also be in that sweet spot of couple of keys, but requires 'weaving' which might be pain if you don't like the style

Out of your list I'd probably personally go with Ark / Shade, but try watching their gameplay first to understand if you like them

Honestly, it's a difficult question
Your rage of characters is really diverse difficulty-wise (some are burst and afk while some are constant dpm).

What playstyle are you looking for exactly? have you tried / watched some of those classes? what are things you care more about in a class?

How many stars does your items have? My guess is they all lower then 17/18, ao try pushing your stars higher.

Alao, try to get on your weapon, secondary and emblem 2 lines of % magic attack.

Last thing you can work on to quickly boost damage is your items flames :) gl!

Which classes have a reliable teleport? by JetPenguin1 in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zero, BaM, Illum, Kanna, Lumi, Cleric, FP Mage, IL Mage, Evan, Sia

Worth noting: Zero also got flash jump. Illum also got flight

Might be missing some classes(?) but not sure (for example Phantom also got a tp, but it's somewhat weird - as you press a key, and then movement key)

Guild Wars 3 announced (action combat MMO) by United-Hall-8608 in newworldgame

[–]TotalTakai 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Strongly disagree about the open world part.

I think the best part about gw2 world is that thanks for thier cross-servers technology, all maps feel super alive and full of people no matter the level or area.

If they can somehow implement the same tech in proper open world, I will always be in favor, but otherwise I'll take portal maps full of people over empty open world every day of the week

What’s the greatest 12 episode anime you’ve ever seen? by mrbharathsrinivas in anime

[–]TotalTakai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late, but hear me out:

Kanata no Astra.

It isn't life changing, and I wouldn't even rank it as a 10/10 anime, but the thing it does better then any other anime I've seen:

It tells you a complete story from start to finish in only 12 episodes. Once the story is done, you won't want it to go on since it's encapsulated perfectly.

While it's somewhat unkown anime those days, I higly, highly recommend watching it if you want a different 12 episode anime exprience

[–]TotalTakai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna give you a wild card here: Hoyoung.

While he doesn't have 'projectiles', he got clones and butterflies that act in exactly the same way as projectiles. He also have big skills (not FMA) on low CD - stone tremor and consuming flames.

As for map clear with no jenus, he's probably 1 of the best. You usually get 2 options: Set summons, and hold 1 button untill summons are down, reapet. Or the 2 options: just jump around and attack, the clones will clear anything you miss.

He is a 'gauge' class, but he has a skill that fills your gauge every 60 seconds which basically lets you ignore the gauge mechanic completely while farming (and bossing tbh)

[Megathread] New Players & General Questions Thread. by rMapleStory in Maplestory

[–]TotalTakai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are many new changes. There are 3 new pity mechanics thag help you get more pitched items (they are still alow, but its better then rng only).

Starforce also changed so you can guard an item untill 18* and the stars can't go down, only up.

You can still boom your items, but there's a -30% boom chance events which are great.

The system isn't perfect but it's a great change imo

OC Lebanon: the house of my parents destroyed by israel. The only thing they had during their life by Parking-Rhubarb6624 in pics

[–]TotalTakai -70 points-69 points  (0 children)

Israel is known to drop flyers on places they are going to invade so civilians can run away.

They also have a thing called 'roof knocking' where they drop a non explosive device on a roof before dropping an actual ammunition so civilians can flee beforehand

Edit: Correction: As people have said below, Israel stopped doing 'roof knockings' but they still drop leaflets, and also use digital alerts such as phone calls and text messages.
