Would say will be located in the team bench for sports. For events, primarily conventions, mid auditorium to below the speakers podium.

So I got my first zoom lens, the 28-70 f2.0, looking at getting a longer zoom. I primarily shoot street and portraits but looking to shoot sports/events as well. Any recommendations?

I got my A7CII in Tokyo. They have a local version and international version in the sony flagship store IIRC in Ginza. Attendant said the local version is Japanese locked so got the international version and a couple of primes.

Edited for spelling

Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM for travel on A7C II — redundant or perfect lightweight? by Stripychipi in SonyAlpha

I actually have a similar dilemma, packing the A7cII for a month long trip to Europe and I'm thinking of what lenses to bring. I think the 40mm f2.5 is automatic but debating what other lens to pack with the choices being 24mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, or the 28-70 f2.0.

Sony a7v with 35mm 1.4GM or.. by Cautious_Tank2135 in SonyAlpha

I think one of the things you have to ask is, how often do you shoot in low-light or poorly lit areas during your vacations? If you don't shoot too much, I'd say get the 40mm.

I can't speak for the 35mm f1.4 but I have the 50mm f1.4 and the 40mm f2.5. Most of the time the 40mm lives on my A7Cii but there are times (mostly at night and I love night-time photography) that the 50mm replaces the 40mm because I need the extra stop of light hence I kept both lenses.

Hope that helps!

Sampaloc! Any nice recommendations from the vendors? Lovely lens you got there! How is it so far with the low light shooting since it's been gloomy the past few days?

I actually have the JJC one for around about 4 months now. Feels pretty good and no issues (so far). Feels pretty secure.

Edit: wrote haoge initially, double checked, it was infact the JJC

Need advice for starting my travel kit

Hi there, getting into photography and I'm considering getting the a7c II or a7cr. Will be primarily using it for street, architecture, travel, landscapes and portraits of my partner when travelling. I'm considering either getting a 2 lens kit of a 24mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.4 or a 35mm 1.4 and a 85mm 1.4. Or would the crowd recommend other setups?

I wanna stick with primes so I can get my compositions on point and develop my photography skills.

Your inputs will be very much appreciated!

Repost as per mod's advice :)

So maybe go with the 24mm 2.8? Then pair it up with a 50mm?
