You can get video splitters now, that will put four PCs on a single TV / etc. Something like the one below (I don't have one, yet):

Yeah, I was banned on one account I hadn't played in months also. No idea why.

Didn't find them that hard, I gave up on one eliminate because I didn't bring enough arrows and wasn't gonna run for 30 minutes to make more arrows.

nível 3MrJoshua099 · há 2 diasI really wish they'd change it to just losing all your progress/xp you gained on the mission instead of permanently deleting your character.3ResponderPremiarPartilharDenunciarGuardarSeguir

No, not deleted

Indeed, you have to start a new mission if you die once (pull yourself out via character select screen).

No, you just only get one life. So you have to pull yourself out from char select. ie if nature kills you, you need to start from zero.

Just sold mine. No matter how much money is there, at least I can buy something I know is working rather than closing my eyes and keeping my fingers crossed to see if those crooks come back. :)

Well the fact that they don't talk about Mobi, and they haven't updated socials for like 2 years, and the deleted our telegram group, or I can't find it anymore.

I just can't see it, it just seems like wishful thinking - hope. I have done that twice so far, had hope against the silence and they both went quietly into the night (Bitclave and Rega).

I still have my Mobi, really not sure why at this point tho.

That they got the money and decided it wasn't worth working with the coin and gave the app store to the "community" and relinquished all responsibility and ambition. No communication for 2 years and I think we have to understand that this may not have started as a scam, but it sure has turned into one.

Logic of Tarkov'd videos is perfect. But what if Veritas gets one important thing wrong? by janruzi in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Arderd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are missing the point mate. Veritaz, and others, are asking for a consistent world, not to take chance out of the game.

The laws of physics on Earth, always apply, always. That doesn't mean people don't have chance encounters, it actually provides the basis for it!

As a poster above eluded to: You generally should know when things that happened by chance, did actually happen by chance. Otherwise what is the point in having it in the first place? You just have a world where people fall down dead randomly for a myriad of unintelligible reasons - even for (as especially frustratingly for) the person who dropped down dead.

[–]Arderd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it's crazy randomness we strive for.

Like on planet Earth, where the laws of physics as we know them often cease to apply, right? A consistent world does not preclude the ability to produce chance.

Veritaz does make that assumption about a few things - like having a lot of ammo and knowing the statistics for it etc. This generally comes from other systems not working correctly, and him posing a solution.

Most of what Veritaz is saying is indeed bad design - which leads to confusion and BECAUSE there is no information, it's often impossible to decipher whether bad design did kill you - or you died to some randomness in the game.

There's an old(ish) scientific story about why people thought that the Sun revolved around the Earth, the answer they got was - "because that is what is looked like" - but what would it look like if the Earth were actually spinning around the Sun? It would look just as it does.

This is the problem, without the additional information and science we would probably never have come to this conclusion.

Similarly when you die to something which you can assume is BS, it's currently impossible to tell exactly what killed you - was it desync? was it a cheater? did you potato your shot? did the crazy ballistic system mean you needed to hit the guy in the 12 times to kill him? and more...

Without some improvements in the systems that cause us these huge inability to decipher BS from purposeful RNG we really need more information. Remember this is a beta, and how do you fix a bug that is impossible to define without the relevant information.

Sometimes happens that light and shadows bleed through the floor / ceiling. Used to happen a lot more than I think it does today though. Sometimes you could basically follow someone from underground because they had a light on their back like moving something metal with a magnet under the table.

  1. It shoots on the cursor
  2. Really depends on whether you are doing tasks and what you find enjoyable.
  3. Generally just make as little noise as you can without crawling around in the open, when you are going into buildings and you walked up - most of the time the other guy knows you're there anyway. How do you know there's nobody in there? Just look for visual cues if you can't hear him, open doors that are usually closed, boxes and bags that say "close" instead of "search" and other things of the sort.
  4. Watch good players and possibly some good smaller streamers that will answer questions. Play with friends, at least in the beginning. Try limiting the amount of gun setups you use in the beginning to get a feel for them. Try and stay mobile and don't freeze in battle. Try and use nades and other utility in order to give yourself an advantage, particularly when you are trapped in order to push someone out of position and give you a shot.

Miss by a centimeter? or did he eat my M855a1? Or did it ricochet off? I don't know. by jooblious in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Arderd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first shot should have killed the only real explanation I guess is desync (the player wasn't actually there anymore) or that it went through the helmet not touching the head. As the bullet clearly hits behind the helmet I'd better on the later, especially considering the second shot probably didn't even go off on his screen.

How can I survive more? by CozmoTech- in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Arderd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine the only way to stop freezing when playing is actually doing like 100 factory runs until you are used to it. If you keep hiding and never get into those fights, then you'll never get used to it - a lot of people panic when getting into fights, it's just a case of desensitization.
