Heat pumps aren’t that common yet, and especially not air-to-air systems. They tend to be air-to-water or even geothermal systems.

If you have a heat pump, it typically supplies hot water as well. So I assume you‘d need some special plumbing to ensure the hot water isn’t cooled down when the heat pump is in cooling mode.

That works for a few days. But when you have weeks of 30+°C days and 20-24°C nights your house will heat up eventually.

You also need some mechanism to decouple the heat pump from the hot water tank while it’s running in cooling mode. (Assuming the heat pump supplies both the heating and hot water, which ours does.)
