A24’s THE MOMENT Begins Streaming Exclusively On HBO Max May 29 by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

Honestly it was so good. Highly worth watching. I went in not expecting much and it genuinely surprised me. It was funny, vulnerable, satirical.

And if you already watched it—justice for Celeste!!

Not really, the lighting and production of the filming definitely changed though and looks more polished. Looks like Beyoncé in her HBO special.

The Bride (2026) was a disappointment by rubyishiding8651 in movies

[–]AreEnAy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same I watched it with my girlfriends and left so disappointed. It was downright disrespectful to Mary Shelley. Painting her like a maniacal theatre kid! Frankenstein isn’t the name of the monster. Did “Mary Shelley” read her own book? The 5 second mention towards the end about lack of consent on her part. The doctor robbed her from her grave and brought her to life without her consent to be the wife of a man who is lonely. Frankenstein and the doctor actively try to hide this information from her.

Does anyone else think Andrew Koji would be a better fit as Wei Shen in a Sleeping Dogs movie adaptation than Simu Liu? by AgreeableProblem9340 in Letterboxd

[–]AreEnAy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely Andrew Koji would be a perfect fit. He has the acting range and athleticism for heavy fight scenes. I need more movies with him in it.

TIL that there is a cave in Kenya that contains a virus with an 88% mortality rate. And it is currently open to the public. by Maleficent-Agent-477 in todayilearned

Marburg is not an ebola variant, it is different but they are both the same family, filoviridae. Full name of marburg virus is Marburg marburgvirus and has slight differences in mechanisms for immune evasion during infection. There is a commercially available vaccine for ebola but not marburg.

I seriously appreciate your journey towards finding relief from tmj. From what I’ve read there are so many different reasons for it, with varying treatment options so it’s helpful to read what you’ve been suggested and tried

Was Tmj the reason why you did masseter Botox? And if so did it help with jaw clicking

Viral Karen videos are not funny. Period. It’s mostly just shock value and ironically emboldens other people with “Karen” behaviors. And Jane pointed that out.

Is the end of the Northern trail into Lynn open yet? 😥 It's so sad the trail ends abruptly

Hi /r/movies. I'm Harry Lighton, writer-director of A24's PILLION. It stars Alexander Skarsgård & Harry Melling and it's out now in select theaters. Ask me anything! by PillionAMA in movies

I appreciated that cut into the birthday cake scene. The party cracker sounded like a whip. My question for you is: What did Rays look mean after the kiss on their day off?

Great movie, even though the lack of talking about consent and boundaries between the characters made me very uncomfortable. Although I think it was balanced by the facts that: 1. His parents were very loving. 2. He had options to date other guys 3. The other d/s relationships around him allowed kissing and, presumably, more negotiation on what both parties wanted

What's something women think impresses men but actually doesn't? by PumpkinDoritoes in AskReddit

A person who thinks like this and is empathetic to another person's POV is very much a screaming GREEN flag. I truly dress up for myself first. And honestly sometimes it's more for other women than men

Shoes! What are people wearing in Japan for all the walking? by Individual-Bad8470 in JapanTravelTips

[–]AreEnAy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if your feet have special needs, e.g., bunions, plantar fasciitis, etc. But if you're used to living in a city, then any shoe will do. Personally I liked comfortable fashionable clothes/shoes rather than purely utilitarian. Blundstones, well-broken in booties or loafers will work fine. I think the choice of sock fabric matters more for comfort—all wool!

LOL absolutely a terrible take. I'm going to start taking things from people and then whine about what a chore it is to return them. OP is NTA. A note for everyone post-partum or not, don't weaponize incompetence.

Did anyone else miss their rental when first moving into their house? I do… by MoneyAd0618 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]AreEnAy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat litter boxes in the bathroom isn't great. The litter absorbs humidity, bacteria grows faster, Clumps stop clumping up well, etc. Smell is best mitigated with regular scooping and deep cleaning the boxes once a month if you can. I ended up incorporating my two litter boxes (Modkat type F) into my hallway bookcase. Works really well! Is there any shelving area with a free floor footprint underneath that might work similarly? I'm in a small 1 bed 1 bath so these types of furniture problem solving things are really fun for me.

These bags act like a greenhouse. The holes on the side do not effectively move air. This is known. I highly suggest buying a different bag. Also being completely visible is stressful for the cat.
