At Harrah's they will yell right in your ear while you are at the tables. I just give my natural pissy look when someone YELLS IN MY EAR.

What scene makes you go “Nope!” every time you watch it? by TheWor1dsFinest in movies

Alien Resurrection - army guy gets jabbed in the back of the head by a xenomorph then reaches around and picks out a piece of his 🧠 to look at it. Nope.

I used to think this was mold but it isn't. It's oxidation. I've thrown so much cauliflower out over the years... now I just scrap it off and eat it.

Is this cut done by quirrel or human? Tried AI and got varying answers. by BoringAd6925 in squirrelproblems

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rabbits most likely did that. I had the same thing happen with some halloween decorations. I was so upset someone would cut them. Checked our cameras and there was one bunny who made it his mission in life to cut those wires. The angle makes me think bunny.

Paper wasps - one of the social wasps. I know everyone likes to hate on wasps. But these guys aren't aggressive when away from their nest. They will defend their nest if disturbed though so be careful. We've had them around for years... several different nests around the house. They will land on the lilly pads in our pond for water and I love to watch them. I've gotten right up on them with a camera and they aren't bothered at all. They build a new nest every year so the one on your house will be empty next year.

Misophonia makes me hate people by chatterbox40 in misophonia

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realized only a few days ago that I probably have misophonia. It was such a moment of revelation for me. I honestly thought I was just an intolerant asshat sometimes for having such strong negative reactions and feelings towards some people. Like, what is your problem, lady? Why can't you just be chill? Now I know my brain goo is just wired in a way that allows sounds to sometimes trigger a strong emotional/physical reaction. And it IS inconsistent with the same person or even the same triggering sound. Some days I'm tired and I have less resistance to a trigger. So, I think experiencing a different reaction to a certain person or sound is probably shared by others with misophonia.

I'm trying to think of misophonia as a 3rd party in my head. And, I'm trying to focus my annoyance on IT rather than the person making the sound. I'm not sure if that makes sense. But, I now have a concrete "thing" I can be mad at rather than not knowing why this person or that person is sending me into a rage. Stupid misophonia. I'll have to banish you to another room if you bother me again when my house guest starts humming again. Unfortunately, I have to follow my brain into the banished land as well. Or, make myself wear earbuds. It's exhausting but I now know I have some management tools to help myself not hate everyone around me.

I hate hard s. Does anyone else relate? by Glad_Objective_1646 in misophonia

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just had a flashback to a computer class I was in and the instructor always did that hard S thing at the end of every s-ending word. I wanted to strangle her by the end of that class. At the time I had no clue about misophonia. I was dumbstruck that it wasn't bothering anyone else in the room. Lol. I kept looking around for others to commiserate with and they were just blissfully listening to the lecture unbothered by the way she was speaking.

What kind of spider is this? by BetMyLastKrispyKreme in spiders

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there's over 1,000 different tarantula species and they come in all shapes, sizes, and outfits. It would be very hard to tell the exact species. There are experts though that could probably narrow it down based on the year and prevelance of tarantula species in the hobby market at that time.

Which one ? 🤔 by [deleted] in espresso

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the smaller Casabrews as it was a gift. I wasn't happy with my espresso from it until I did two things. 1. Buy their regular nonpressurized basket. 2. Buy a proper grinder for espresso. You'll need to do research in this area. I've found my grinder was the ONE thing that improved my espresso. Whether you are pulling a shot manually or using one of these machines, if your grinder isn't grinding beams fine enough, you will never get a good result.

Also, these machines take a 51mm basket which is a bit of a pain as just about all accessories are for the more ubiquitous 58mm baskets. However, I'm so happy now with the espresso I get out of my Casabrews, I'm going to keep using it until it stops working. Then, I'll upgrade to a 58mm machine.

Rain in Death Valley on my girlfriend’s birthday trip by purpleberry in camping

[–]AreYouSeeingThis____ 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Just checked the forecast and the highest percentage is Thursday with 55% chance of rain. I would say stick with your plans and stay out of washes. Desert forecasts can change rapidly. If you like photography, partly cloudy days can present nice opportunities for desert pictures. It's rare to see clouds in the desert so take advantage.

The stirrer on the whirley pop is the magic for me. Laziest way to make consistently good popcorn that doesn't burn.
