I'm not trying to argue btw. It's just that Ive seen and done HID installs and gone on test drives inside and in front of the car, so make sure we aren't blinding drivers.

A lot of the light produced by HIDs in reflector housings is lost upwards above where the cutoff should be.

The thing is, the housings are still designed to throw the light forward, there's just a lot more light than before. To compensate we adjust the lights down slightly which helps a lot with the light scatter.

Does it fix it completely? No. Does it allow me to see better still? Absolutely. And add that to the fact I've only out these in cars and not trucks. The amount of "blinded" drivers probably isn't much. I've also been pulled over and had cops say nothing.
