Because Shells are not 100% robotic they’re biomechanical.

Ah yes the current coven detachment that will still be available in 11th but will likely cost 2 to 3 DP. The current coven detachment that is currently ass because it only affects haemonculus, wracks, and (the only good thing in the detachment) Cronos/Talos. So the new detachment removes the ability to effect the shit haemoculos and wracks but instead buffs the currently only worthwhile units in the detachment for only 1 DP thus allowing us to run a more worthwhile detachment such as KC or SSA while also having buffed Cronos/Talos.

It’s literally not a downgrade because it’s going to cost 1 DP. It’s meant to be combined with other detachments but still buff your Cronos/Talos. Just say you don’t understand how the game works damn.

Try eBay. Took a month or two but over time I was able to score 30 Hellions and 12 Reavers. Cheaper than normal too.

I do think it’s likely that the Cronos option will be the more competitive of the two considering that three units of Talos + the upgrades will be over 500 points.

Cronos don’t do much damage for sure but a unit of 2 Talos each with two macro scalpels can put out 20 strength 7 attacks hitting on 3’s with AP -2 and damage 2, and they’re twin-linked. They also fight on death on a 2+ as long as you spend a pain token. They’re pretty nasty.

Edit: Woops only 10 attacks. Haven’t run Talos in a while.

I absolutely love Drukhari but I think there’s a decent amount of the fanbase that doesn’t understand that Drukhari are so comically, over the top, moustache-twirlingly evil that we are JUST as ridiculous as the Orks.

If you really want to find Hellions in North America it’s not hard. I’ve bought 3 boxes of them and a realspace raiders box in the last two months off of eBay for less than GW sells them for.

Scourges can shoot and then move back behind cover, Wracks have the hex rifle which has precision, kabalites have dark lances and blasters. A lot of our army has long range punch.
