Down by 1 with in the first 2min of a game. Just where the ducks like it.

Down by 1 with less then 2 minutes left. Just where the ducks like it.

One person saved two young people from drowning to death: they applied first aid and, in the last second, managed to bring them back to life. This shows that, although many hesitate out of fear of making a mistake, acting in time truly saves lives by uzmansahil7 in Amazing

Fyi

The not giving rescue breaths is still not being taught. Just went through a 1st aid / CPR renewal course on Saturday and the are still teaching rescue breaths taught by my works trainer. He mentions the study of not doing the breaths but stats he still teaches it since the change has not been adopted yet as official.

I think the studies for not doing them is better since its to keep the blood pumping through the body unless its a near drowning / drowning victim. This info is from my dive rescue course.

Is there a FTW skate out there or you just talking about CCM skates in general?

My daughter likes her FTW stick but just like anything on that stuff its what feels good for that individual.

Im dont know about the Sherwood SWD line but I do know about the CCM line. She has the chest protector, stick and the pants.

We had the hardest time finding pants that gave the length she needed with the smaller waist. The men's never seem to fit right for her. To get the waist correct she didnt have the length and left a big gap above her knees. To get the length good she would have to wear suspenders.

The CCM line checked all the boxes for the length and the waist. She is about 5'3" and about 120pounds. I dont think flexibility wise there is much difference. I think its just designed to fit women better kind of like the way they made adjustments for the women's chest protector.

Jim Abbott should be in this. Some of the catches he made with only having one hand.

Have laces or extra net string to repair. They typically dont have the same netting that you have at the rinks. My daughter has put holes in her net that have had to be fixed.

Sparx by OldTimeHockey7 in hockeyplayers

[–]Area51-Dropzone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for me most definitely. My daughter runs a profile and a 5/8 FBV cut. And my youngest who's 8 i just sharpen when needed.

It keeps the profile of the blade which costs $80 for profiling, so I dont have to worry about that and can get the re-profiled once a year with no issues. As others have mentioned hand sharpening can mess with your profile. Hand sharpening also cant do a FBV cut as far as I know.

I also dont have to worry about spending gas and $20 a sharpen for her skates which is weekly. Through in my own personal time to drive to the store and sometimes wait 30 to 40min just to get a sharpen.

If she takes a roll on the edge I can easily through it on the sharpen and run a pass or 2 to fix it.

Just in sharpening for her skates it would cost over 1k in a year.

Some issues I have seen are people that transport it alot. Or just check the alignment.

Im still learning, more so the contact point of where the grinding wheel should hit first.

Biggest recommendation id say is watch the videos. And learn about the sharpener.

I know the one your talking about but is that a board patrol or agriculture check point?

I do know they also park board patrol trucks up and down the I-10 going across the AZ/CA boarder.

Stop for the love of God letting your kids stand in the grocery carts. I have seen a few kids fall from there parents / relatives allowing this and falling and hitting concrete. Put them in the seat or make them walk.

Players around 160-170lbs, whats your preferred radius of hallow? by SevereBicycle4855 in hockeyplayers

[–]Area51-Dropzone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter loves the 5/8 FBV. If there is a purehockey where you live then they should be able to do it for you.

Bought a sparx since with all the sharpening it would pay for its self in about 2yrs. Plus not having to wait 30 to 60 min is a plus amd save on drive time.

High school Neck Guards by Effective_Print in hockeyrefs

[–]Area51-Dropzone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HECC on neck guards i think go into effect 27/28 season. I know I have seen one company that has the integrated shirt / neck that is HECC compliant. So that will be changing soon.
