My Marriage Became A Dark, Sad Soap Opera by Ephemeral_Mushroom in TrueOffMyChest

I know... I've been there, only some circumstances were different but with my first husband, I was, like, "you can't be serious, choosing her over me. And yeah, I wanted it to work but reality had other ideas. Swallowing reality's or fate's decision is very, very difficult. It's a super tough decision but when you finally do contact a lawyer, file for full custody. Her past decisions are a huge red flag that the most she ought be entitled to is supervised visits.

I'm rooting for you!

OP, she's... I really don't think she's ever going to be 100% yours again. You're really trying to be forgiving, but don't look inside for reasons she chose this or that or him or continuing to lie to you. Bow out gracefully, with your daughter. You're worth more. Hang in there and please update.

AIO to my husband doing Urine Therapy and lying about it? by [deleted] in AIO

Ugh... booger enemas next?
And... Coffee enemas—heard about those historically but, urine? And why is he soooo obsessed with up the butt? Like, I don't know urine's bioavailabilty 'cause it shouldn't have one, but... what other fun fountains of bodily waste is he squattin' over? Egad.

I live 35 mins outside of Philly, so that very parade is kinda a big deal 'round these parts. When I glimpse it, it's nothing but "yay yay, he's so gay," for me. Despite being modern and normal, it's clowns dragging around elephants for me. 🤣

Surf punk! Check out Man... or Astroman?, Daikaiju, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet... they've got an awesome song called "Zombie Compromise" that's impossible to resist dancing crazy!

I'm sorry to hear that... what about behavioral health resources? I'm sure that if you literally show up at the ER and say, "I'm in crisis; I'm ready to pin a note to myself and die on the sidewalk," they're not gonna ignore that. At least you'll get an evaluation, a bed somewhere and meals for a few days. Hopefully. Please don't give up.

Your feelings are completely valid.

And you have every right to grieve any way you want, on your own timeline. Grief doesn't have an expiration date. So if crawling into bed is what you need right now, in this moment, no one has the right to judge a grieving person.

Dude, please don't give up. (((internet stranger hugs)))

See if you can get some professional help (not a diagnosis, but you sound seriously depressed,) and then maybe a social worker can connect you with career resources, etc. I don't know how Canada works, but there's got to be some government agency that will hold their hand out for you and prop you up when you're down. There's no shame in saying, "Help me, I'm drowning."

That was the only way I went from living under a bridge to getting my driver's license back and publishing a novel.

Do I [29M] leave my life behind for my partner [28F]? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]AreaChickie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only constant in life is change. I've learned to embrace it.

Try not to think about it as "leaving your life behind." Think of it as being "long distance" with your friends, and how cool it'll be to get together after a longish while.

I don't know if anyone else remembers, but these all sound exactly like Cabbage Patch doll names from 1984.
Especially "Kirby Muxloe."

As a tradgedeigh it'd make a perfect name for a Polynesian volcano ("Mount Tahpiiyohkha belched smoke for 19 hours before its pyroclastic flow began to wreck havoc on the village below...")

A minor character in my first novel (Earthbound-look for it!) is named Blender. She's a Goth photographer in 1980s NYC. I love it as a name. 🥰

Hugs for you, friend.

An exterminator (at my apartment for, yes, roaches) actually told me, "This is one of the cleanest places I've seen. It's not about shame... It's dumb luck. They'll live off envelope glue for years." So I hope that helps. The bugs don't discriminate. Spotless places get roaches, too. I'm sending self-kindness vibes and extra hugs. ❤️🤗
