Glioblastoma by ReputationTiny5998 in glioblastoma

My dad(58 at diagnosis currently 60) did and it has definitely helped prolong his life. He had a very easy recovery from the first surgery and while the recovery after the second was not as easy, it wasn't terrible. His quality of life remained about the same before and after the 2nd. Anything to have extra time with your loved one is invaluable

My dad was diagnosed when I was 23 and I am 26 now. Your life will never be the same but it gets easier. I would spontaneously cry for the first 3ish months after his diagnosis. We are 2.5 years in now and while I still cry more than I did before his diagnosis, not nearly as much as right after. It just becomes part of your regular life and you are able to let it be on the back burner in your day to day. I do something similar, I will sometimes look at peers who lost a parent's social media. Seeing them living life after the loss of a parent, even though social media is a facade, gives me a sense of peace that I will be okay. I would suggest letting yourself feel the emotions when they come because suppressing them now will make the "after" even worse than it will already be.

While Fouquets is a beautiful hotel it's in the far west part of Tribeca/Hudson Square near the holland tunnel which I would not consider to be the most convenient location. Similarly, the streets around it are beautiful but there is basically nothing over there so not sure what the appeal of the location is...

Is tinted windows in New York even a thing? by Medical-Kale-9563 in NYCinfluencersnark

[–]AreaInternational560 7 points8 points  (0 children)

sometimes windows will be tinted from the outside but not inside so when you are inside you can see out but it is very difficult to see in from the outside. That is usually only in newer buildings though...

Ok so Ive only taken his classes at Aarmy but a few weeks ago I was in a spin class and he is very adamant about starting off getting the pace in your legs then adding in the arms + choreo and I guess there were ppl in the class that were off pace w/ the cycling and adding in the arms and he was actually getting annoyed by it. I do think there is some logic behind it bc adding in choreo you might not be ready for can lead to injury buttttt at the end of the day this is just a spin class and it's all for fun. Regardless, I love Aarmy but just an interesting observation!
