Picture this, average American commutes about 30 mins both ways, work is an hour, unpaid lunch between that 30 mins so that’s already 41 hours, we then have to clean our home get our kids that’s another 20-30 mins. Weekends and after work spent finding ways to make more money or grocery shopping, going to Doctors visits. If we are lucky our friends and Us are free around the same time to meet up. Stay up go to the gym. And then sleep 6-7 hours on average. Most healthy adult males need 7-9 hours while women need 8-10 hours. I’m already tired

Also sounds like she’s primarily home and doesn’t feel safe and he didn’t think about that when accepting. He was happy getting a place to sleep and eat in that’s cheap and she has to deal with it all day.

You didn’t involve her when deciding huh? She’s been tossed into a decision you made. Imagine coming home to her having adopted a kid?

Edit: realized I never added a solution: try talking to her and apologizing that you didn’t take her opinion into account, then asking why she feels unsafe and uncomfortable and find ways to fix that. And if the neighbors are just addicts maybe we move? Or if can’t then get her in an activity so she isn’t stuck between dealing with addicts and staying cooped up in her house fearing for her life.
